Lot's of guys? like who? and he's also had the arm, and has been fighting at a high level since he was pretty young. He'll be old at 35, but that's still far away.

| I think Bader has blown his knee twice. Coleman struggled with knee injuries most of his career didn't he?
Wait bad example, he had two different comeback tours.

Wait bad example, he had two different comeback tours. Well injuries combined with fighting at such a high level at such a young age. Has to take a toll on him eventually. It will be remarkable to see him still fighting at 35 IMO.

| This is improving my odds with my Rashad pick.
Here's the reason it will negatively affect him Wolf. As you have said, his strength is his speed and explosion, but bad knees will take that away from him. He was slow against Forrest and Coleman, and then looked explosive against Chuck and Machida. He needs a good year of that surgery behind him before he can start to resemble his old form. Facing Rashad early in the new year may not be early enough.

| Whether he comes back sooner or later, is not as important as wondering how long he can keep fighting. His wheels are shot and he has had multiple knee problems and surgeries. I think he is one more knee surgery away from retirement. | |

| I agree with everything you said boom, I just think everyone is a little too gloom and doom over this. Word is he is doing better than expected and this wasn't his total knee like we first thought. We need to see how he responds to this injury. If he fights like he did against Forrest though, it's over.
Machida would be wise to do everything in his power to take Shogun on as soon as possible. After his next fight during the post fight interview instead of smiley broken English and thumbs up at the camera with akward mentions of after parties he should snatch the mic away from Rogan and scream Shogun's name as loud as possible dropping to his knees like a samuri declaring revenge for the death of his father. You will face vengence Shogun or I will die trying!

If he beats him 2 out of 3 times, he will look more badass than he is and people will rarely discuss the issue of injuries that Shogun has had.

You will face vengence Shogun or I will die trying! That would be classic! I really think Machida's first fight game plan, while slipping in the takedowns and trips of fight two, is the strategy he needs to beat Shogun definitively. And if Shogun is a tick slower and still aggressive like in fight two, then Machida will catch him.
