| 1. Shane Carwin -- Undefeated, will unify the UFC hw title this weekend by KO'ing Brock. He will be the HW with the best juice going after this weekend. 2. Junior Dos Santos -- Didn't just beat Werdum, but crushed him, and has done the same to everyone else the UFC has thrown at him. That past Werdum win shoots him up this list, but I wouldn't hold out much hope for him against the great wrestlers of this division. 3. Fabricio Werdum -- He's the man of the hour, but I can't take a guy from #10 to #1. 4. Fedor Emelianenko -- This feels weird, but hopefully it will be momentary. 5. Cain Velasquez -- JDS passes him and so does Werdum. 6. Brock Lesnar -- Drops significantly with loss to Carwin this Saturday and a fairly underwhelming W/L record. 7. Alistair Overeem -- Holds steady in my ranking. 8. Frank Mir -- the Brock win will count for less after Saturday and JDS moves past him with his past win over Werdum. 9. Antonio Nogueira -- the old guard is slowly making its way out. I hope he can get a nice win. 10. Josh Barnett -- I should probably give this slot to Antonio Silva, but I'm still kind of a Barnett fan, even after everything that has happened.
Before Werdum sub'd Fedor... 1. Fedor Emelianenko 2. Shane Carwin 3. Brock Lesnar 4. Cain Velasquez 5. Frank Mir 6. Junior Dos Santos 7. Alistair Overeem 8. Antonio Nogueira 9. Josh Barnett 10. Fabricio Werdum

| Fedor is still the best HW in the world. Hopefully after this weekend I won't get any more shit for having Brock outside my top 3. | |

| Come on man, Fedor is not #1 anymore.
After Shane beat Mir, I moved Brock below him. He's undefeated against just as stiff competition.
He better keep Carwin at the end of his jab, or Brock will go to sleep standing, and stay away from the cage, eventually forcing a desperate takedown from Carwin where he could capitalize and get top position. I think that's his key for winning, but that would probably take more disicipline than a relative rookie has.

I thought GSP was still the best WW in the world so I voted him that way. Same thing here, I feel Fedor is the best in the world. So I will vote him that way. When you have years and years of dominace you get a little breathing room. I'm not jumping on the "hot" fighters at the moment. I vote for who I feel is the best in the world.

| Well, that's fine and I guess everything is subjective. If that's the case then I would never have JDS ahead of Brock, Shane, or Cain since I think he will be exposed on the ground by these guys, heck, it may happen against Big Country, but I think the win/loss record in the cage comes first.
Well in GSP's case I still couldn't leave him at #1. I think I moved Matt Hughes back to #1 after that and had Josh Koecheck pretty close, but I moved Serra ahead of GSP. I can't really remember. BUt this situation is a little different since there's basically two HW worlds, Strikefore and the UFC, and both have got studs that have been killing it so there are good alternatives, whereas GSP kind of had the division cleaned out at the time.

I can't in good faith move Fedor out of #1, he earned that spot for years and I can't put him below a guy with only 4 MMA wins and still sleep at night. Especially when I think Fedor is the much better fighter and still the best in the world. Same would go for GSP I couldn't put Serra or Hughes(I'm a fan) and feel good about it. In my mind both are still clearly the best in the world at their WC. Even if Carwin wins via 1st round KO making him 13-0 with 13 wins in the first round I still could not put him infront of Fedor who IMO still has a more impressive resume and is still the better fighter.

Though I see your point, I think there is a major difference between a lucky KO and the ingrained skillset required to make that sub. But hey whatever, it is your opinion and vote.

| Yeah I don't see how GSP/Serra 1 is in any way shape or form the same as what happened on Saturday. Serra happened to strike the correct spot to put GSP on his ass and wondering where he was and took advantage of it. Werdum knew exactly what he was doing and how to do it and he even transitioned it into something else before locking it up. Serra got lucky, Werdum had been training for that his whole life. If anything Fedor should drop to #4 and Werdum should come up to #3 or higher. | |

GSP made a mistake and got caught. Fedor made a mistake and got caught. You can credit Fedor's mistake by going in for the kill just as much as you can Werdum for capitalizing on that mistake. Did the better fighter win? Does anyone really believe that Werdum is better? Both guys made mistakes, both guys got careless against lesser fighters. Both guys are still the best in the world in their WC.

I'll buy this, especially where the loser of Saturday's title fight drops out of the top five for now. Only things I'd change is excluding Barnett until he takes a legit fight, making Overeem a bit higher, and booting Big Nog all together.

| Nelson or Bigfoot. The Bigfoot that fought Arlovski would box Nogs ears off at this juncture if his fight with Cain is indicative of where he is now. Nelson has been a top tenish talent since his IFL days. Now he has a pile of TUF wins and two first round KO's in legit UFC fights. All his losses have * next to them. Monson-robbery. Rothwell-robbery. AA-KTFO. Ok most of his losses have * next to them. Nelson would probably stop Big Nog at this point. | |

| Well I still defend Nog. Whenever people dog him, I always just say when has he ever looked good. His career has been made out of him taking beatings, then somehow pulling off the win. I think he still deserves a top ten spot over Nelson. Big Foot is the only guy that I feel like belongs in there and that would be over Barnett. | |
