first ill say this was a great fighter indeed.if he consintrated on boxing instead of getting into trouble drugs bulgaries etc etc he was good enough to have been one of the 15 greatest fighters ever.he had that much talent i feel..
i just watched or listened to an interview of him on youtube.click on hector camacho sr talks about pacquio and mayweather and the steroid issue and listen to this 11 minute recent interview...the sad part is hector speaks with a slight slur and a evident whats called punch drunk talk..sad indeed for one of the most entertaining fighters ever...his comments on floyd and pac come at the 8 minute 20 second mark or so and continues the last few minutes...hes now 48 and still fighting....
the first time i saw him fight i said this guy is beautifull..he did everything not only well but exceptionaly well..a great package that not only could of been more but should of been more..he earned my respect as a fighter for sure..the interview saddens me indeed.

dmar, that's really sad. I like Camacho too. On the bright side, it doesn't sound like he's aware of the damage. In either case, he shouldn't be allowed to fight. I suspect that may be an issue with certain "Athletic Commissions" in the US, which is why he's fighting his next one in Germany.

The "Macho Man" was one of those guys you loved to hate, but he did have some talent going on. Sorry but it's hard for me to feel sympathy for anyone who fucks their life up with drugs, it's like Joe Frazier said one time, you pay for the things you do as a young man.
