| A group of fighters including UFC mainstays Ryan Bader, Aaron Simpson, and C.B. Dollaway will open a new gym later this year in Arizona, hoping to bring in more top competitors to work with. Along with Washington Wizards' guard Mike Miller, the group is currently working on a facility opening later this year that will be the home to their training, and hopefully more top fighters in the sport as well. "Bader and I and C.B. and our manager, we're all kind of working on opening a top notch facility out here," said Aaron Simpson when speaking with MMAWeekly Radio. "A state of the art facility that really hasn't been done before, especially in Arizona." The key to opening the gym, according to Simpson, was the relationship that the fighters have formed over the years between fighting and their roots as wrestlers at Arizona State University. At the end of the day, they see the new gym as a great venture, and everybody sees the benefit in that. | Bader would be wise to ditch Dollaway and take up with a great striking camp like ATT. | |

| Meh, ATT fighters get out struck routinely. That camp is overrated. They all have promise and they'd all be wise to shut the fuck up and go train at Team Quest or Extreme Couture, or some other camp more suited for their styles and be small fish in a big pond for a while instead of trying to be venture capitalists/trainers/fulltime fighters before they've even hit their strides. | |

Simpson suffered an embarrassing loss already. I think these guys need to realize where exactly they are in relation to everyone else before they start opening their own gyms and shit.

| I agree that these guys need to walk before they run, but maybe they see a business opportunity in AZ. Several guys who have accomplished less have gyms too. I think Bader though would be well served by moving on. He has serious potential. Maybe he can hook up with Nog again and head over to Blackhouse. | |

| Leben has his own gym too, but he works with others for his camps.
This strategy of opening a gym in the hopes of getting training partners to come to them may be a huge mistake.
