| King foolishly turned down $2.5 million from Vitali a couple of months ago, now they are begging to get that offer back on the table. Unfortunately for them, the Euro has sagged badly against the greenback due to the Greek financial crisis, also the fight would now take place in an arena rather than a open air stadium due to seasonal considerations.
Now the best offer sits at $1.5 million. Their shortsighted greed has cost them a million bucks. Way to go King.
Will we ever see VvV ? | |

| I don't think we'll ever see Nikoali Valuev vs Vitali Klitschko as long as Don King co promotes The Beast From The East. K2 detest Don King and he's always asking for more money and options on future fights.

| You may be right Ali.
I hope Vitali retires after his next fight. It's time.

| Vitali needs to leave 1 fight early rather than 1 fight too late. What point is that? It is getting close. He looked physically slower in his last fight. | |

Agreed. Valuev being a professional fighter makes me embarrassed for the sport.

| Don King used to be the greatest. All he does now is keep his fighters on the shelf. It is rather sad. | |

| I'm amazed that K-1 never got him to fight Bob Sapp. They love mutant freaks in Japan. | |

| Come on, as Grantzilla at the espn repeated over and over for weeks (alright months), how can you take a decision away from Mr. 12 punches a round (haye). | |

| Haye vs Valuev
Landed/Thrown/Pct.
Haye 98/143/68.5%
Valuev 64/390/16%
I remember watching the fight on a stream. After 8 rounds, I was glad the stream was gone as the fight was boring. I have since seen the 12th round, Valuev chicken dance.
All in all a horrible fight. Valuev lumbering, alot of those punches were his slow missing jab. Most shots he landed weren't clean on the moving Haye. Haye landing the effective shots, but throwing 12 shots a round. It is rare to find the winner of a fight throwing 35% of the number of punches of the loser.

| I just don't see how you can award the decision to Valuev when he basically hit thin air all night, Haye made him look amateurish. |

| As I said, rare to find a fight where the winner attempts 35% as many punches as the winner. This was a rare (only time I remember) occasion where throwing 12 shots a round was enough to win. | |

| Because in a round where neither fighter is doing anything, you award the round to the agressor.
When nothing happens, you score the round for the guy moving forward and throwing punches, especially if the odd one connects to the torso/chest. Valuev moved Haye backwards and tried to engage. You do not score the round to the guy doing nothing but running.
Yes Haye landed the best shot of the fight and wobbled bigfoot, but the fight is scored round by round.

Haye made them both look like amateurs. The difference is only one of them wanted to fight.

| lol. good thing there is one funny highlight, because nothing else happened. Haye definately won that round, and if the fight is scored by who landed the best punch, he would have won deservedly.
I still don't get how Haye won more rounds than Valuev, especially in Germany.

| Germany loves Haye's arrogant swagger and flashy shorts. |

Maybe part of it is sour grapes Canvas, he is a very proud man, but it was a really close fight. The way Suerland jumped into the ring way before the cards have even be finished makes me wonder. Everything is up for grabs on this final fight, so I don't really blame Carl for wanting it on his terms. If Carl loses he could be out of the tournament. |
