UFC 103 - Jim Miller vs. Thiago Tavares made official for Dallas, Texas

Excellent fight. I think Tavares will win that one, but they're both good fighters.

I'll be interested to see how long they want to stand before it hits the ground. I actually think Tavares might have the advantage there, which is saying something.

Either way, 103 is FULL of good action fights. While maybe not the biggest names in the world, all those fights look like potential barnburners in the cage. This should be a great card!

I have Jim Miller beating Tavares on their feet and eaking out a decision after finding his way out of some tricky submissions.

I don't know which fighter is better but I would love for Miller to put that cocky fucker in his place.

Tavares has the BJJ advantage in a big way, but I think Miller is more well-rounded. I'm not sure who is the better wrestler - though I think they are pretty close in that regard. Tavaras has flashes of flashy striking, but Jim is a lot more solid there.

Great fight probably wont be on the main card but I love watching thiago tavares fight he's got some awsome striking. Jim is the better wrestler so this could be a lay and prey fight.

Matt Wiman, Kurt Pellegrino and Tyson Griffin disagree. Thiago is athletic and has pretty good striking for a BJJ blackbelt, but that is not his strength by any means. He can get a flashy kick or flying knee off every once in a while, but his defense is not great.

As far as laynpray goes, Tavares is pretty dangerous off his back and generally works for submissions or sweeps all the time.

Thiago always comes up short in fights like these. I wasn't even aware the UFC resigned him.

tough fight for jimmy. Im not gonna say anything to jinx him like i always do but i think he'll do well.
