How will this effect the style of play in the rest of college football?
And if you wanna be technical, there is a Big 12 again, isn't there?
not again, still, I guess.
MU, KU, ISU, KSU, and BU. Sure Its only 5, but they (the conference) own the Big XII name.
I guess you were referring to the Big 10?

So what do remaining schools left in the lurch do? Is there any chance a conference survives out of the remains of the Big 12? Like maybe inviting some mid majors to join? Call Utah, Boise and TCU.

No.. the big 12 is done.. the remaining would probably join the likes of Mountain West and such .. its a shame that Boise fell through .. Cuz the Mountain West would be pretty legit.. especially if they landed Kansas and Baylor from all this debacle.

I am still hoping UT and OU go balls deep and get in with the mighty SEC

Hmm...I wonder who else will be joining the Big Ten or if they are just gonna keep it at 12 teams and just split it into east and west divisions?

I think ND and Mizzou would be nice additions. But looks like it will stay at 12 and Mizzou is not welcome lol

new reports say Texas may stay and save the Big 12. Reports say they would make more TV money by staying. So the Big 12 currently has 10 teams and the Big 10 has 12?

That would be correct, but I have also heard that that report is false and that 5 of the 6 bigger big 12 schools are planning on going to the Pac 10, while the Aggies want to go to the SEC.
If that happens, i've heard that Utah will get the last invite to the Pac 10.

I thought Pac 10 either wanted to stay at 12 or go to 16? Why Utah over Mizzou?

Honestly, Utah is the better team at this point IMO, not to mention it geographically would make more sense than Missouri.
The best of both worlds, a better team and not as far of travel.

I don't think Utah might be better last season. Overall Mizzou has better teams year in and year out.
Also my dumbass was thinking Big 10 when you said Pac 10.

Idk sooner, ever since Urban Meyer coached out at Utah, that has been built up into a pretty solid program. I dont see them faltering anytime soon, and they havent really had any bad teams in a long time.
Remember they beat Bama in a BCS bowl game last year. They're tough man...I would definately prefer them over Mizzou.
