| It was talked about on the sherdog radio show but apparently nobody is exactly sure what it's for. Apparently the order has something to do with the Mousasi vs Babalu fight. They've been talking about it a little bit on the other boards today. All this tells me is the gloves have come off and the war has officially started between SF and the UFC. | |

| I'd have to know more about it, but it does sound like the first shot in the war... | |

| UFC showed something during the Rogers-Arlovski fight. The war has already quietly started.
If I'm the UFC I show UFC 99 during the Aug 15th show and then UFC 100 during Fedor's first fight. Maybe even show a live FN during their next big planned show.

| It's going to get crazy that much i'm sure of. I hope Fedor was worth it to Coker because honestly I don't know if i would have gone that route. He's the greatest no doubt but at the end of the day M-1 bleeds the other promotions dry. | |

The funny thing is: 1. Fedor owns 20% of M-1 Global (or is it 10%? I forget, correct me if I'm wrong) 2. M-1 partnership means losses and profits are shared 3. The show could lose money depending on how much they have to pay Fedor There has to be a conflict of interests there somewhere with Fedor's stake in M-1 and how much he gets paid. Of course, taking the splitting the risk of losing money on Fedor in the UFC is splitting 0 risk, but with Strikeforce.... well, I think they should do ok actually, but time will tell.

| I don't believe this to be true. If UFC sent that they are just kicking the wall and throwing a tantrum because they have zero case. I would like to think they are a bit more professional than that. Sounds like a dumb rumour. | |

why? the UFC does this kind of thing ALL THE TIME. Seriously any oppurtunity they get they will crush an opposing org. It wouldn't shock me one bit but I also don't think they have much of a case. I think it's more to let Coker know it's time for war to be honest with you.

| UFC is not going to crush Strikeforce with this though, it's just saying "hey, we're really mad so we're going to file some cease and desist order to emphasize our rage, even though we had no problem with Mousasi vs. Babalu untill you guys got the reputed #1 fighter in the world and not us"
Strikeforce is here to stay. UFC did not beat anybody, they just did smart business and so does Strikeforce. As long as Strikeforce don't go on a crazy spending spree and start doing things they can't afford they'll be fine. I think Strikeforce already has something those other companies that folded did not and that is the ability to run a big show WITHOUT having to have the same fighter headline each time. EliteXC and Affliction were considered doomed from the start, we were already talking about when it was going to be over. Strikeforce is considered to be making a big profit and ran by a smart promoter who knows MMA.

Sounds pretty much like what i've said since Strikeforce started with MMA. Coker is the man but now he's in a whole new ball game.

| I hope Strikeforce co-promotes intelligently. If they are able to form good working relationships with Japanese promoters, that means more compelling match ups all around.
Getting some of the Dream WW's into Strikeforce's division would be great.
