The problem is we're talking about Andre Berto here. A guy that DiBella keeps saying needs more time, needs more experience etc. Well the guy has been a pro for six years with 26 professional fights and over 200 amateur fights. He also holds a major belt in a marquee division. This guy is NOT a very good fighter, he's a good fighter. Shane Mosley is a hall of fame fighter that only a very good or great fighter can beat. Shane will be 39 by the time these two meet and Shane will get killed by Berto. Berto is a top guy in the best division in the sport he is better than good. If this was 5-7 years ago Shane would have KO'd Floyd and would do the same to Berto. But this is not and he can not beat Berto outside of Berto getting caught in the first 3 rounds. |

| Shane could still hang with anyone that wants to fight at Welterweight.
There's a reason Floyd spanked him. Floyd's that good.
And I'm a Floyd hater.
I'd still take Shane to beat Manny and beat Cotto in a rematch. As for Berto, Shane would have him out of there in under 8 rounds.

I hope Shane fights one of the top guys and gets his ass handed to him. Again. We need new blood and Shane is shot. He has zero chance against any of the top guys right now. HE IS 38. Hell he hadnt fought in like 14 months when he fought Floyd. The guy is done. He had a nice career and will go down as a cheating HOFer. |

| Even after looking that bad against Floyd, none of the top guys will touch him.
I bet Williams would turn down a fight with him.

| Mosley-Williams would be a great fight.
Paul wants to go back to 147, and Mosley would be a good measuring stick. Mosley causes a lot of style problems for Williams and given the little we saw of Williams-Cintron he can frustrate and hurt Paul. If Mosley wins, he goes out on a great note. If he loses, it doesn't hurt his credibility, it just cements the fact that he's done and launches PWill.
They can play up the fact that they both beat Margo. PWill's return to 147. Mosley's last shot at glory. Old lion vs. young lion. It's a fun fight and a compelling one.
Put it in DC. |

I bet Williams would turn down a fight with him. Why would they? Because like you stated, he's a heavy handed 39 year old. He's still fast and has power in both hands, even against the best in the division he has a punchers chance. Who want's to get KO'd by a guy who's supposedly shot?

| Mark you're way off in this one, Berto is not on Shane's level nor does he have the chin to survive a fight with him. This is a kid who was wobbled by Luis Collazo and dropped by Cosme Riveria. |
