| Slick, where's all this "ass-kissing" that's going on? I musta missed it, you mean adult posters getting along well here and not arguing and/or slinging schoolyard fag shit at each other?
As for there not being enough people here, unlike ESPN this is a much smaller private boxing forum. Granted you aren't going to have the huge volume of posters, threads and fast replies here, that there is on ESPN. You also arent going to have to wade through 100 threads of the childish troll/idiot, fanboy bullshit, to find just 1 that's worth reading. There's always room for more good posters here, but i'd rather it stay a small friendly, quality group and just the way it is, than have it turn into the circus they have at ESPN.
Anyway, cheers dude, I didn't always get along with you on ESPN, but I've got no issues with you, and hope you continue posting here.[/quote]
The beginning and ending of this thread for starters. Yo Ring you must have forgot all the times you went off the wall on ESPN. So please dont preach that "adult poster shit".

| I would love more members Slick but you've seen some of the snooty responses from JJ and Grant. I invited alot of people and some declined, it's a free world I can't force them to join. It's alot more private than ESPN, that's a well advertised website so of course it's always going to have fresh members.
As for the ass-kissing, that's an overreaction on your part. Simply agreeing with somebody isn't kissing their ass. |

| Glad to see the boxing forum taking off. Just a little while ago it was dead and now it's one of the most popular boards. And yea, no need for Grantzilla. There are plenty of quality posters here and we don't need him trying to troll the mma board. | |

The beginning and ending of this thread is ass-kissing? I honestly don't understand WTF you're talking about, maybe you've spent too much time at that other troll/idiot infested messageboard and aren't used to people acting civil to each other.
As for me "going off the wall", or preaching that "adult poster shit", whatever, I make no apologies for way I might have acted on ESPN, are you keeping records or something?
Let me just say this Slick, you seem like someone who likes to argue for the sake of arguing and/or likes to stir up shit to get attention, perhaps you fit in better with the folks on ESPN?

I wanted to spar with Victor879 when he told me I know nothing about in ring boxing knowledge. I was on my way to the gym and gave him the address to my gym and told him to come down and find out if I had any in ring knowledge. He sadly lived on the west coast and we made up after that. He's actually a pretty cool guy. I didn't ask him for his address though.

Its called having a memory. 2nd BOLD. Again you've had your moments far more than me. You must've not paid attention to my posts on ESPN. I dont stir shit up or have i ever seeked attention. Maybe with my back and forth with Zing, but that's all in fun.

Taking a few years off here and there. I fought PAL (Police Athletic League) as a youngster. Then after Jr High stopped and just worked out at a local gym. Kind of stopped all of that in college. Then in about '04 my friend opened a gym and I started to instruct some of his clientele, that lead to getting back in the ring and doing instructional sparring which always leads to all out fighting. LOL. Especially with guys that have known each other for a long time. So after my long winded explanation, 20 years.

Slick it's pretty simple, ESPN for the most part...went to shit. People are still in various degrees of bitterness from how it was there and appreciation for how it is here. Of the 1st 10 threads on the ESPN board as I'm posting this, only 5 have anything to do with the sport of boxing, and only 3 do not involve Pac-Mayweather. On this board, almost every topic has to do with something different, happening in the sport right now. Most have well thought-out, intelligent discussion. More importantly, everyone respects each other. That's the way a board is supposed to work. Maybe we pat ourselves on the back too much, but that's better than any alternative out there. People disagree with each other here plenty. They just try to do it with class for the most part. - SlickMoneyXL wrote:
- 2. Still not enough people here. The response time for some threads are too long.Someone will start a topic and it will have no replies for 3 hours. I know no one here has 3 hours to wait. Problem is fixable tho.
You want more people? Get more people. You want more posts? Then make more posts. More debates? Bring up controversial topics or opposing views. At the end of the day it's about quality and not quantity. There's plenty of content on the board to keep you busy. And if you can't wait for a response, ESPN is still there while you wait. For the most part the style here is to make a post, go out and do something, and see what people have to say when you come back. Maybe that will change in the future, but I like the slower pace. |

I was a defensive center back, but I never put alot of effort into achieving anything. It was just an activity I liked to do with my friends every weekend. |
