| Sweet. I know a couple guys in the minors but no one who has made it to the majors.
I played football against Rock Cartwright, knocked the shit out of him a couple times. He played for Conroe high school which was our main rival. Also scrimaged and played with Grant Irons who has kicked around the NFL a bit.

| Hell yeah cool shit. I played baseball with Koyie Hill's(catcher Cubs) little brother Tyler who is in the minors now if I'm not mistaken. His dad was my coach and Koyie use to help us out at practice. Carlos Silva gave Koyie props for his 10K outing the other day. | |

Austin Jackson played for Denton Ryan.. but this one is the only buddy of mine and its awesome for him.

Really, HS football is a big deal all over the state. Everyone supports our team here and they're always in the mix for a state championship. Texas high school 5A football is awesome. I miss playing in it.

| I live in Southern Oklahoma, I know all about Texas High School football. Hell 90% of OU's players come from Texas. I have friends and family in Texas. But really all you need to do is drive though Texas and see the massive stadiums built for High School football teams all over the state. | |

| Oklahoma has Jenks and Tulsa Union. Both nationally known teams. They are by far the biggest schools in Oklahoma. They were more then 3 times the size of my high school. But we split our town into 3 High Schools and I think we get more scholarships that way. But if we combined the schools(would be about their size) we would be a powerhouse. | |

| For sure we just had a brand new stadium built a few years ago, it's fuckin impressive. This pic is just the model but it's just like the real thing. I wish they had that stadium when I was there. | |

| Jenks would be mediocre in Texas district 5a football... I don't even think there student enrollment would have them qualify as a 5a team.
I dont know anything about Tulsa Union

I dont know anything about Tulsa Union 3000 students is fucking big to me. Don't know what that qualifies in Texas. Those 2 schools would do just fine on the other side of the boarder. Obviously they wouldn't be the juggernauts they are in Oklahoma.

| Union's football program has been regarded as among the best in Oklahoma and in the nation. Union has won the 1963, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2008, and 2009 state titles. [12][13] Union's rivalry with nearby Jenks High School has been named by numerous news sources as one of the top high school football rivalries in the nation. Either Union or Jenks has won the state 6A championship (the division for Oklahoma's largest high schools) every year since 1996. [14] Games between Union and Jenks are frequently played at the University of Tulsa's Skelly Field at H. A. Chapman Stadium, where the record attendance for this game was over 40,000. A documentary titled King of the Mountain was made about the Jenks-Union rivalry, and it has been covered by ESPN, Sports Illustrated, and NFL Films, which covered the 2007 regular season game. | |

It was a Senior High.. Plano East Senior High School... which is just 11th and 12th grade only.. and just our 11th and 12th grade class was over 3000 students... if it was a normal freshmen to senior high school .. it would have been a 6K+ student school.

I feel like I should pick him up out of respect.. or would it be camaraderie? (I already told him I picked him up though)

lol I was telling my buddies at the bar that I could see my league picking him up and trying to use him as trade bait to me... Especially since everyone knows of how loyal I am to certain players/teams (rangers)

I'm not quite sure how they do it up there. When I went to school here it was 10-12 at the High School and 7-9 at Junior High. But just 2 years ago they moved the 9th to the HS and made the Junior Highs, "Middle Schools" with 6-8. I'm not positive but I think they only had 10-12 at their High Schools up in Jenks and Tulsa Uninon, but I'm not sure. I was just saying they are in a league of their own here in Oklahoma, they would fit in better in Texas.
