It was clear as day. I found one you tube but the angle is not good. I watched the fight on my big screen plasma TV in High Definition. They replayed it in slow motion numerous times and it was very obvious. Ross got screwed.

It was revealed that the judges had the fight a draw at the time of the stopage which is also a joke, as Ross should have had the lead with the knock down.

He only got screwed if you think the technical decision idiocy is a good idea. Given the events of the past 18 months with fighters opting to quit, trying to game the system etc? Pretty obvious it makes fighters think NOT as warriors. If it was a foul? Then call it. If not? Conttinue or lose.

I disagree. When it is clear to everyone that the referee errored, it should be corrected. Otherwise it is too easy for the integrity of the officials to be called into question for missing blatant fouls that determine the outcome of the fight.

It had nothing to do with Ross looking for a way out, it had to do with Ross' lower eyelid being torn open from a foul. Ross didn't indicate at all that he wanted to stop, the ref forced the stop.

I counter-disagree. It is the ref's job, nobody else's. The choice is, or oughtta be, either DQ Cunningham or TKO the guy who couldn't continue. All this crap does is take the warrior spirit out of the game in the name of I haven't any idea what. What separates boxing from other sports is the continue or lose element. Bad luck? It happens. Wreck your knee? Get up and fight. Bleeding like crazy? Ask Mancini and Gonzales and Marciano how they overcame it.

and Ross did continue to fight. The REf stopped it, not Ross. Ross was game to continue. Did you watch the fight Marble? Ross did not complain about the cut or the foul. The ref stopped it,and Ross was given the loss, despite dropping Cunningham just minutes earlier.

So Ross had the fight taken away from him when he was willing to continue thruough no fault of his own. This was not Kermit Cintron prat falling out of the ring or Hopkins play acting to try and induce a DQ.

Marciano was given one more round against Ezzard. He either KO's him in the eighth or he loses. That massive cut was caused by an elbow, not a punch.

And here is problem 627 with the technical decision idiocy. If Yuri's knee had gotten the fight stopped you think that should have gone to the scorecards too?

Where does it end? What about a broken hand?

It should end at accidental gashes being opened from anything other than a clean punch.
