Pac 16

The Pac 10 is making offers to 6 Big XII Schools (A&M, CU, OSU, OU, TTU, and tu). This is a very interesting move and I like it better for A&M than staying in the Big XII, but ultimately I wanna goto the SEC.

The Pac 10 doesn't want OSU & TTU without getting tu, OU, and A&M.

I still think there is more to the whole expansion thing. tu is looking to start their very own tv network which is going to turn OU and A&M off to this deal. I ultimately think this deal falls through.

Im with u I think the deal falls through also.

PAC 16 would be the best hands down in Football if this goes down.

They're already the best so just think if they add A&M, OU, FSU, and The U.

A&M would get rolled in the SEC...no offense Farmer. OU and FSU would be nice adds.

Miami is nothing compared to what it used to be...they too would get rolled in the SEC.

Miami is in a lot better shape than FSU right now. They're in the top 5 in preseason polls, right?

No, I think Miami is like between #13 and #18...somewhere in there.

And yeah...but FSU had a BEAST of a recruiting class this year...and that program is really going to turn around under a newer, younger coach...they will be contending for National Championships within 3-5 years from now...if that.

farmer you want A&M to enter the SEC why? 6 win seasons sound fun?

This kind of sucks, I like the Big 12, but if Kansas and Missouri come to the Big 10 that would be pretty sweet.

3-5 years its really like right now they can compete. they have a very good defense and there offense is coming along. A couple breaks this year and I believe they maybe able to compete this year or at worse next year. Miami would be a huge boost to the SEC.

the thing I wonder is where does Baylor, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Nebraska go?

does the big 12 fall apart before next season if this goes down?

A&M is in a bad stretch. They'll recover in the big 12, sec, or pac 16.

A&M isnt never going to be a real consistant power in the sport no matter where they play.

And you know this how? From bout '85 to '00 they were a top 15 team.

In the big 12 they will never be consistantly better than Texas or Oklahoma. In the SEC they would never be consistantly better than Florida or Alabama. Or even in the Pac 16 as u guys are calling it they wouldnt be a top 3 or 4 team there either. Im not saying they wont have good years they just wont be a consistant power in my opion.

Its hard to be TX or OU, but there is nothing wrong with winning 8-10 games a year and winning a conference title every few years. That is where I see A&M going.

Im with u there is nothing wrong with that at all. Before Rich Rod here in Michigan thats what we were doing year in and year out.

Big 10 has weaker football when compared to the Big XII the last several years. A&M's offense would roll through the Big 10. We just wouldn't have the defense to stop the power style of football. I think we'd outscore more though.

Agreed u guys would out score some like Purdue, Northwestern, Michigan(right now), Indiana but some of the other teams I think would shut them down like Iowa and Ohio State. All things considered i think they could compete in the Big 10.

Yeah, everyone thought Oregon would light OSU up for 40+ points in the rose bowl last year too...how'd that turn out?

Listen man....the Big Ten as a whole may not be what it used to be...but the top teams are still damn good...and I hate when people who never watch them...underestimate them.
