He was doing everything right, from pushing the pace, staying active [which you never see at HW] and stuffing takedowns. That just goes to show that in this division one good punch can end anyone's night. I still think he's a star in the making with his skill and attitude -- he just feinted at the wrong time. I'd like to see him fight Schaub or Struve.

It's amazing that when you dominate a fight for two rounds, your opponent has not landed anything at all...Joe Rogan is practically saying the hype train was derailed in between the 2nd and 3rd rounds despite what looked to be a strong performance by Duffee.

What is Duffee going to do against guys who can actually strike and have the power and explosiveness to take him down? He's going to get murdered, thats what.

Learning experience for Duffee, he's still young enough to recover from this.

for a guy who won his 1st 6 by KO it sure looked like Duffee had a severe lack of power last night.

Dude needs to start using those massive legs of his. Go train with cro cop or something.

I on the other hand could not be more impressed with Duffee even in a loss. He showed great explosiveness and incredible striking and movement for a HW. In case you forgot, he's only 24! This is his 7th fight, the shots he put on Russow put most fighters down anyways. Im very excited to see his next fight and who the opponent will be.

Duffe looked okay when he had lungs, fights are longer than 5 minutes unfortunately.

That had to be the funniest thing I've seen in my time of watching UFC. The people I was watching it just collectively laughed our asses off for like 5 minutes

It was the hammer fist on the ground that finished him.

Nah he was out before then because his head bounced off the ground and his hands never moved to cover up.

Lol he was making a joke. Watch how weak Russow's hammerfist was. I think he realized he was out so he ended up just tapping his face

It was like Russow was Rocky and he kept letting himself get hit, just cause he knew he had one big shot left, Duffee is going to come back he is young and maybe losing like this will show him it is not always going ot be easy and you have to fight and respect your opponent for the full 15 mintues.

Duffee was feeding him those punches but Russow has a very big appitite and was still hungry. It was reminiscent of one of Fujitas great offenses, let your opponent get real tired punching you in the face, maybe even injure his hand with your face, when they have nothing left, go for the takedown and lay on them. Russow improvised off that plan and punched him.

I think it was the massive hammer fist that ko'd him.

Todd hit him with giant shots that would put down most of the UFC roster six times over, then got caught with a phantom blow that hardly looked like a KO punch, but left Todd Duffee utterly out of his body from the moment it landed. Like Soko v Nog.

Mike Russow is underrated, but he is fat and slow and only had a snowballs chance because Todd Duffee literally destroyed his hand trying to knock this mans skull off his neck to no avail.

Todd will be back, but it will be a long time before he lives this moment down. I hope it doesn't expose a chin problem though, because I assure you Mr Duffee that a gassed and pulped Russow hits about half as hard as Carwin, Nelson or Lesnar, and twice as slow as JDS, Velasquez or Pat Berry.

I think the smartest thing Rogan said the whole night was that when we look at Duffee, we are looking at the new reality and future of the heavyweight division. I agree, Cain Valesquez might be the last mid size relevant HW to come along. The Division is going to get freak show bigger and more cut athletic then ever as time goes on. But with all that being said, the future is still susceptible to being knocked the fuck out at any time by any half way capable fighter. Big guys punching can knock out anyone. Duffee will demo someone again soon and kick on the hyper train again.

I find it hard to believe no more natural 235 pound fighters will come along with solid skills. JDS is probably smaller than Cain.

I think there is going to be a growing void between 205 and 235 or what ever Cain and JDS are as time goes on.
