Strikeforce does 308k viewers

Down 40% from the last one, but outside of Rogers and the belt there wasn't any draws. No Diaz, Cyborg, Walker, Lashley, Hendo or Fedor.

At least 300K saw the guy who is going to give Fedor a fight.

No real draws on this card, good numbers for what they are.

That does seem kinda low for ir being on Showtime although there wede no real stars on the card. If it was on CBS it probably would have done double though.

I dunno, a hwy title fight, AA, a Gracie vs Randleman, 5 very solid fights overall, that # seems pretty low.

Would like to see it compared to some of showtime's boxing events.

Not their best, but still not bad for premium cable.

it's funny, i was expecting better because their past couple Challengers series cards did pretty damn good ratings wise without any real promotion at all.

I don't know, the number seems a little low but as other have said this wasn't a star studded afair for the average fan. Arlovski's star has fallen off big time in the last year, Rogers is the guy who got his but kicked by Fedor to most, Nobody knows who the hell Overeem is and then there wasn't anyone else on the card that would bring in ratings either.

i cant see how these numbers are looked at as a success. When your Heavyweight title fight does 308k viewers and the UFC counter programs you with fights that already happened and gets nearly triple (894,000) the viewers, thats just not very good. I understand they didn't have their big name stars but come on, there is no way SF is looking at this as a positive.

Well the difference is SpikeTV is acessible to aver 80 million more homes than those who pay for Showtime. You can't compare head to head numbers to basic cable stations to premium cable stations.

That's the mistake people commonly make when comparing SF's ratings on Showtime to what UFC got on basic cable. If Strikeforce got that number that UFC got on Spike on Showtime, it would be groundbreaking. If Strikeforce was on basic cable and got what UFC replay got, they are probably under evaluation.

It's down from some of the other cards, but they arent looking at what UFC got and worrying about that. UFC has tripled their cards each time, but of course they are. They are abailable in 99 million homes, Showtime is subcribed by 18 million.

They do promotion on Showtime and online at certain websites.

Honestly, the UFC replay did pretty low as well. Usually, they get 2 million. What else was on Saturday?

Really nothing was on that I can think of except the Boxing fights on HBO and Baseball.

Seems a bit low considering there was two intriguing heavyweight fights on the card.

Well, boxing on HBO might have directly hurt Showtime but usually, even if SF does a really good rating like they did for Cyborg-Carano and Miami...UFC usually pulls in two million on Spike. SF did lower than usual, but UFC did less than half of what they usually do in counter to SF. So, where the fuck was everybody?

ESPN ran a couple of promos...as well as SPIKE. i thought it was hilarious when the commercial came on when i was watching SPIKE

Are u sure you saw a commercial on Spike?

Showtime say they peaked around 450k, they were happy with it.
