| On Showtime May 22, Vazquez-Marquez, (la 4ta lucha), 12 rounds, featherweights, plus Yonnhy Perez vs. Abner Mares, 12 rounds, for Perez's IBF bantamweight title.
Who you kats got?

| I just have a feeling Rafa has more left in the tank at this point. I'll be rooting for Vasquez though and more importantly hoping both of them leave the ring in one piece | |

| I agree Bobbit, I believe Rafael has more left in the tank at this point. He was doing well in the grudge match, I had him winning before the 12th round knockdown. |

| Didn't Rafael switch trainers not long ago? How big of an impact can that play? Based on their 3 fights, I think strategy gets thrown out of the window, at least nearing the later rounds.
I would pick Rafael only because I think he's physically in better shape than Israel.

| I think this will be a war. That is about the extent of my prediction on this fight. |

I would pick Rafael only because I think he's physically in better shape than Israel. He did split with Nacho, Rafael felt Juan was getting more attention. |

| My guess is Rafael Marquez isn't quite as batterred as Izzy.
I think it will be brutal as long as it lasts. Both guys can no longer avoid punches, but they can still punch.
If they both can get interviewed after it is over and walk steadily to the locker room I'll be pleased.

| If the fight doesn't get stopped on cuts, I've gotta go with Vazquez in the one. Marquez is better technically and he has decent power, but except for the cuts and damage to his nose in the first fight (from a thumb) he hasn't really hurt Izzy. Vazquez on the other hand can, and does hurt Rafa badly, and that will be the difference in fight IV, just like it was in fights II & III. Vazquez by 9th round TKO.
It will be fun to see how this plays out Saturday night, hopefully this will be the last fight between these 2 warriors.

| Juan Manuel Lopez is going to be ringside and apparently wants the winner. What a devious little snake, avoids Celestino Caballero and is going to pounce on Izzy and Rafa when they're radically on the decline. I hope both refuse his offer. |

JuanMa also seems to be ducking Gamboa, as well he should, Gamboa would stomp a mudhole in his ass.

| Raffa beats the career out of Izzy. I think it will be very lopsided and brutal. This fight should not be happening. I will not watch and will come here to find out the results.
Raffa mid rounds TKO. | |

| I think Marquez is going to even up the series.
But I hope they won't be tempted for a fifth.

Gamboa's chin isn't that bad, he's been dropped a few times, but he never looked all that hurt, JuanMa on the other hand was hurt badly in one of his last fights, if Gamboa nails Lopez with his big shots he'll flatten him.

| I predict another great fight from two great warriors.
I am a little sick of hearing how these two should "stop now" from the media. Bullcrap! they EARNED our attenttion and our PPV money by doing what we ask of all fighters, but seldom get. They FOUGHT the BEST out there. Each other. Do they have wear and tear? Yes. They got it FIGHTING EACH OTHER. Not by skipping challenges, ducking the best, or playing basketball the afternoon before a fight. They got it doing what warriors do. By testing thier limits. I hope they retire happy, healthy, and rich. They both deserve it. My part as a fan is to show them the respect they deserve by actually PAYING to see them fight. Something I have not done since Holyfield was the PPV king. These guys will quit when they are ready, until then, I will give them what they earned in the ring.

Hey boxinglawyer, glad to see you made it, the mods here aren't going to let trolls ruin Ninja's Place like they did the ESPN boxing messageboard, so no worries man.... welcome! cheers P.S. I believe Izzy stops Rafa tomorrow night, should be a good (but bloody) fight.

Well Frank, i'm going with Vazquez simply because he has better power, and/or the ability to KO/TKO Marquez, but who knows, Izzy's face is usually a mess by the 4th round, so it could get stopped on cuts.

| I would say Rafa wins, it seems like Izzy is always worse for wear after the fights and I think this fight, he wont be able to take as much. | |

Raffa mid rounds TKO. Bump, because it's not too often I call a fight right on.
