| With three wins and no losses on his amateur record, actor and fighter Jason David Frank, better known for his role on the Power Rangers TV show, is getting ready for yet another challenge. He will see action at the UWC event this coming 22nd of May in Virginia, USA. His opponent will be James Hardy.
“I know I have a target on my back,” says Frank, then firing off a provocation:
“Everyone wants to beat up the green power ranger, but I’m not Kimbo Slice. I’ve been training a long time and I know how to handle myself in the cage,” he said.

Both are 36 but Jason David Frank is the more accomplished martial artist and ju-jitsu fighter. My money is on the Green Ranger honestly.

| You're right, i was thinking of size difference but i forgot that the ranger can just morph into a giant mastodon or whatever his animal was | |

He is also just a better BJJ fighter and probably more technical striker with more formal training. Karate since the age of 4.

| Kimbo's body is just completely broken down and he doesn't seem to have the capacity to learn/improve. Seriously, after how many years of full-time/high level MMA training has Kimbo had? What belt in BJJ should he be in that amount of time?
THat being said, the Green Ranger would get owned by Kimbo.

| Where did you ever hear about him training full time at a high level for MMA? He was training under Bas for a little while but didn't spend very long there. He's only been training at ATT for a little while now. | |

| I guess I assumed it. What else has he had to do? He earned enough in his early fights to where he should have easily been able to afford full-time training.
My belief is that's the reason Brock has been able to excel so fast, because while Carwin is working as an engineer in the day, and Rogers was putting on tires at Sam's, Brock could just train. Kimbo should have had that same luxury, but he still doesn't know how to wrestle or grapple.

Kimbo should have had that same luxury, but he still doesn't know how to wrestle or grapple. Brock and Carwin have a solid, legit wrestling base. They can also rely on their freakish size and power. Kimbo was older, smaller and had zero legit skills coming into MMA.

I can't disagree with that, but the fact that Brock could afford to train full-time had to be a huge advantage vs. other new fighers. That's an advantage that Kimbo should have taken, but probably didn't and that may just be obvious since he still looks lost out there, even though I would guess the opposite since he wanted to be a mixed martial artist. 3-years of full-time training was enough for BJ Penn to earn a black belt. Not saying Kimbo should have a black belt, but a purple belt shouldn't be far-fetched.

| Brock, BJ, Carwin, even Rogers who I'm not a fan of, have 1000x more natural talent then Kimbo, he could have trained full-time for a while and he'd still be gassing and have weak knees.
Comparing BJ's fast progression to Kimbo is ridiculous

You gotta think kimbo abused his body for most of his adult hood and decided to start training at what 34 so it doesnt make getting into mma very easy.

Comparing BJ's fast progression to Kimbo is ridiculous Well I didn't say the two should be compared apples to apples, just that if Kimbo trained full-time for three years, then he should be pretty good on the ground, not completely useless.
