I remember watching this guy in the ealy 2000's I think, and even though he ws overly flamoyant, he had ridiculous hand speed and only lost once I believe. Anyways boxing guys, lay it down.

He's a rare story. Left the sport at 27 after just one loss. I just don't think he could handle having been defeated. He had all the physical tools but everything I've read says he had a very lackluster work ethic. One of those guys who didn't really give a shit about hard training and just wanted to show up and win fights. Certainly one of the most entertaining fighters I've ever seen. Hard to know how truly great he was after leaving so early and not trying to avenge his loss to MAB. Also had some kiler ring entrances lol

It wasnt the speed LA
it was the power
no Featherweight had power like he did, then it all came crashing down , Marco Antonio Barrera mugged him and he was never the same. Fought one fight after that then went to prison
Was an extremely rare talent
damn obbit who fell on their face

Big wins over Manuel Medina, Kevin Kelley (in an amazing fight that somehow inspired light hitting Paulie Malignaggi to box), and Wayne mcCullough
36-1 (31 KOs) 22-1 in title fights (WBO, IBF, WBC)

Naseem Hamed was a special featherweight, he was only 5'4 but somehow packed a heavyweights punch. He defended his WBO featherweight title 16 times.
He was cocky, confident, arrogant, delusional and flamboyant, but he could back up his talk by knocking out his opponents.
Unfortunately Nas started to lose interest in boxing by the time he fought Barrera. He left his original trainer Brendan Ingle for yes man Manny Steward. Also decided to retire soon after the loss to raise his son.
