| Thoughts? I say fuck no he looked like shit and gassed in the second. I have been hyping this guy for months about being a 2 division champ and man do I feel stupid. Gegard vs hendo would be a good one. Being almost 40 doesnt make weight cutting any easier and does anyone know why hendo waited to cut just days prior. I thought it was a 1-2 week process. All in all my boy got fucking clowned and all the respect to sheilds for putting on a clinic. fuck | |

| Reports were that he was on anti-inflammatories to control swelling in his neck and that made cutting the weight hard for him(the neck thing has always been there from wrestling for Dan). | |

| I just think Jake is a good fighter. Hendo might have taken Jake lightly but this is a great win for Jake. I'm not taking anything away from him | |

| And it was actually an entertaining fight IMO. A lot of people say he's boring, but I thought he was trying to finnish the whole time. Had some decent GnP there and had some good sub attempts. No where near as bad as King Mo's leg humping IMO.
That, and he's a class guy. Some of those other douche's in his camp make me wonder sometimes. Its a really good camp, they're just a bunch of assholes.

| I found it entertaining, but I think that had more to do with the fact that it was a surprising upset, and not with the actual action in the ring. jake actually dished out very little damage considerin he had full mount for as long as he did. | |

| Hendo should challenge Mo after a tune up 205 fight. Maybe Mousasi could fight Hendo for the right to fight Mo. Babalu is another great fight for Dan too. | |

What do you think Dan is going to do vs Mo? Shields was able to take him down at will. I don't want to think what Mo will be able to do.

| He looked like the elite fighter the 1st round then for part of the second, and then he looked like the weight cut or injuries took it the rest of the way out of him, he is 39 years old and if he wants to stay in the game he may have to do some things different to stay at the elite level, King Mo would destroy him, he would not know what to do on the ground, but he could wing that one again as well | |

| lol, poor Hendo...a victim of "you're only as good as your last fight". The guy has taken losses before and he'll come back strong. This is what happens when Shields gets you down...he's a fuckin snake and Hendo has never been great off his back. Heres an idea. Replace that idiot Mayhem Miller with Dan Henderson and have him fight Robbie Lawler. Hendo will be back | |

Farmer, check it out, Henderson has a career before Strikeforce. I'd like you to watch it if you could. At 205 he might not be so gassed coming out of the second round and able to fight his fight more. I don't want to think what happens to Jake Sheilds skull if Dan doesn't gas.

Hendo gassed because he was constantly defending Shields from passing his guard and mounting him. Mo doesn't have those types of skills on the ground.

| Dan in round three had NO explosion. It was shocking watching the round 1 replay after the later rounds, because the contrast in Dan's power, speed, and explosiveness was very dramatic. Obviously the injuries were real. Obviously he is too old to fight through them. But if he could come in healthy again at 85, Jake dies. | |

| The UFC should use this as a scouting report. Tennessee is good for trailerpark music, and produced the ghettos that spawned Rampage, but nothing else. | |

| Yo I didn't even see the neck report, but Ii did notice it looked like he had weird frankinstien type bumps on his neck. I wonder if it was related. I think Hendo was gonna smash him early or be in trouble like he was either way though after seeing the fight. | |

The card was a typical boo fest style though. Hated but to be expected unfortunately. No finishes in the main event.
