Johnsons idol James Corbett was yelling at Johnson in Jeffries fight. Corbett at one point said, "do something Jack", he said, "Im doing what you did"

by the 7th Corbett is spitting at Johnson and hurling racial slurs. Jeffries brother was seen crieng before the bout. Also interesting the referee helped Jeffries up before being finished. Corbett said nothing in the 14th and 15th.

Also in the era of standing over a fallen opponent Johnson was waved away from Jeffries.

I remember bein in high school and I took this class called Good vs Evil and it pretty much was an ethics and politics class and we watched a movie about Jack Johnson. And i remember seein a lot of stuff you mentioned as far as jefferies brother and all the paper articles and stuff like that. Needless to say i agree we have come a long way as a nation

amazing the amount of stuff Johnson went through, pretty interesting in my opinion that he did it his way and no one else's

my friend in is taking ethics and morals in college and Johnson has come up several times he said

sadly not one mention of him in my ethics and morals class, I think he should be taught in Texas History but he isnt
