| I can't help but think he will make the jump before the end of the year. I just watched the weigh ins for 111 and he looks like he cut a ton of weight. I've never seen a more shrunken down GSP, he looked like he was literally starving. His cheeks were shrunk in horribly, it was almost Mike Swick-esque. I'd love to know what he's weighing tonight when he enters the cage...I bet it will be close to 200 lbs. | |

| im right with you on this. I noticed it too but wasn't sure if he always looks like that at the weigh-ins. Im sure he had to cut a ton of weight and after he rehydrates and etas he'll probably be anywhere from 190-200 pounds at fight time. | |

| He said he would be around 190lbs at fight time. I think he will move up soon. Maybe one more fight at WW. Let's hope Hendo whoops Shileds. I do want to see GSP and Shields go at it. DW led me to believe Shields would be in the UFC soon with what he said a few days ago. | |

| GSP would murder shields. I honestly think if Shields comes to the ufc he'll do it as a MW. He has less of a chance of dropping out of the top 10 there. | |

| I've never seen GSP look like that at a weigh in. He's obviously carrying a lot more weight walking around these days. He's taking his time with it to which is great. | |

I would pick GSP to win it also. I think Shields is the best guy out there right now at 170lbs to fight him.

| I also thought he looked shrunken in at the weigh in. Even still, he already looked much bigger than Hardy. Tonight, it should be even more pronounced. 185 is going to happen.
GSP said in the pre fight presser on UFC.com that he is going to be 191 or 192 tonight.

| His wrestling and take downs would be tops in that division upon arrival. | |

Sonnen's wrestling would be the closest to his but I think he's better. His takedowns are unmatched in MMA.

I didn't mean that they have the same style, just as far as who is best in the division as far as wrestling goes. No one wrestles as well or as effectively as GSP. Both guys have great top control, though, and both guys are content with using their wrestling for the duration of a fight.

| Chael would be a good first fight for him actually. I dont think you can justify giving him Anderson right away. He needs at least one fight to get adjusted to the weight. | |

| As long as he can make the cut and rehydrate like he does he'll stay there. Almeida weighed in at 170 and had a hard time cutting but was back to 190-195 for the fight. | |

I think Anderson is the only fighter worthy at this point of switching divisions and fighting another divisions champ, that being at LHW. GSP like BJ should fight several fighters from the other division I think. Anderson has already done some of this.

Unless you're referring to the fact that Anderson has already fought at 205 a few times I'm not sure why he would deserve it any more than GSP does.

| You said it. He fought a mid tier guy then an upper tier guy. Progression. | |
