UFC Primetime 'St. Pierre vs Hardy' grabs record-high one million viewers

The UFC scored a ratings bonanza for its premiere episode of "Primetime," the first of a three-part series featuring an in-depth look at the upcoming UFC 111 welterweight title fight between current champion Georges St. Pierre (19-2) and number one contender Dan Hardy (23-6).

According to the cable television network, the debut episode aired on March 10 at 10:00 pm ET on Spike TV and recorded a record-high one million viewers for a 1.1 rating overall.

In comparison, last year's "Primetime" special, constructed around the colossal UFC 94 welterweight title fight between St. Pierre and BJ Penn landed 880,000 viewers for a .73 rating.

Episodes two and three of "St. Pierre vs. Hardy" will air on March 17 and 24, respectively, while the debut episode will be replayed tonight at 11 p.m. ET.

I missed it for that cra showing by my Cards. I am gonna see if I can watch it at UFC.com in a bit.

Was Hardy his usual self ?

I watched part 1 of the show just now. Is part 2 coming on this week sometime? I thought it would be longer than 20 minutes of course no commercials in the one i just watched. Anyone know what the deal is?

Yeah I like his personality for real. GSP is gonna eat him up, but he is a funny guy. Loved that video from youtube last week Hardy did.

I was just fuckin around I don't really have a problem with him. He's going to get butt raped in a couple weeks though

Hardy seems like your typical chronic line stepper. Doesn't always know when to shut up so he is forced to defend his words without words.

Looked like a few stitches to me. Could have been from those weights for real. The second workout he ws doing I could see him tapping his head on accident. Could be from a punch, but that is a weird palce to get cut sparring for real. Looked more like a wound from a corner of a door or something hard. Just my opinion and pure speculation.

pretty surprised that this did better then GSP Penn. But I love these primetime shows, they should do more of them.

And Serra? Come on, what advice is he going to give him?

Seriously, Can you teach someone how to land a lucky punch?

when they were building up the mystery training partner I expected Hardy to walk through the back door at Renzo's as GSP was walking out the front. That would have been some good insider stuff. Serra was a weak TV ploy.
