Sengoku, DEEP and Pancrase vet Chan Sung Jung (10-1) is likely heading to the WEC.

MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) has learned from sources close to the promotion that "The Korean Zombie" is currently in negotiations with the WEC and is expected to sign a deal shortly.

Hope he can make a good splash. From my perspective the WEC divisions seem a little shallow sometimes. I think the only fight of his I saw was that decision loss. He looked good from his back with the subs but I think he lost because he kept getting taken there so much. I don't know if I've seen his others.

I haven't seen the guy fight yet. I will check him out. It is always good to get a foreign fighter with a good record over here.

Fast-rising Korean featherweight prospect Chan Sung Jung (10-1) recently signed a six-fight deal with the WEC -- and now the promotion has secured his welcoming party in the form of division standout Cub Swanson (14-3) at the upcoming April 24 pay-per-view from the Arco Arena in Sacramento, CA.

After getting obliterated by Jose Aldo in just eight seconds back at WEC 41: "Brown vs. Faber 2" in June 2009, Swanson rebounded nicely with a submission win (rear naked choke) over John Franchi at the WEC 44: "Brown vs. Aldo" event back in November.

Cub Swanson has become the lead featherweight Gate Keeper. That is what happens to a career that's best known fights are an instant submission loss to submission loss to Jens Pulver and being the victim of the first and only double knee strike KO.

Cub is gonna get beat, this guys pretty good.

And how are the WEC divisions shallow, yeah LW, but FW and BW have like at least 6 top 10 guys each.
