| Another top RB cut, Jones has been one of the top backs over the last couple years. I'm sure he will find a home somewhere. | |

| He's to old. RBs take a dive at 30 for the most part and this guy is 32. I wouldn't take a chance on him or Tomlinson. Westbrook MAYBE but probably not even him with his concussion issues.
Chester Taylor is the guy I would be looking for, I hope the Texans find a way to sign him. He's 31 but has less than half the carries that Jones has had over his career.

I think Thomas Jones is a physical freak and I think he has more to offer then both LT and Westbrook right now. I actually think Jones could work out great for a year or even 2 in Houston. I think Chester Taylor is great, I had a debate with my buddy a couple years ago on who is better Ryan Grant or Chester Taylor. I think Chester is one of the most underrated players in the league.

| TJ definitley slowed down in the playoffs last year. Huge drop off in production from the regular season. That said he would be a good fit for some team, i'd say he has more left in the tank than LT. I think he'd be a good fit in seattle, he could play with his brother. | |

Yeah what makes TJ more effective right now then LT is he is a physical freak, the guy is a workout machine. I think he can be like Ricky Williams last season which was pretty darn productive. I like him alot as a split back.

The production drop for running backs is nuts. Most of them hit 30 and their performance is literally night and day. If you ask me, any team signing a 30+ year old running back is taking a huge risk. The Texans did it a few years ago with Ahman Green and got burned. That's why I don't want them to go after Jones.

I'm just saying TJ isn't your average RB. He is a physical freak, even for a NFL RB and that is saying alot. The guy is a workout warrior and that alone buys him a couple more years then most RBs. Even the elite ones like LT. I think the guy has plenty to give for atleast next season. I think Houston could really use the guy, maybe it would give Slaton some time to shape back up. I think he can still have a very nice future.

He's a nice little back, especially catching balls out of the backfield, but if he keeps turning the ball over he will never be a feature back again. As far as Jones, you might be right, but I still think he's a big risk. The evidence is just to compelling IMO. If the Texans sign him I won't have a problem with it but it better be for no more than 2 years and at a bargain price.

| I'm sure that is exactly what it would be, 1 or 2 years at a bargin price. I agree with all you said about Slaton. I think he has amazing hands for a RB and I think he could turn into a Reggie Bush like back. Not a feature guy but a guy that can do a little bit of everything. He could even be like Felix Jones is in Dallas. Just have to find the right guy to go with him. | |

| I hope this doesn't interfere that much with Charles becoming a feature back because that kid is an animal | |

Yeah, I would like to see what he can accomplish with a tougher line to block for him.

Charles definitely had a breakout year last year. I'm sure they will split the carries fairly evenly. They would be stupid to give the full time job to a 32 year old back that might not even be as productive as Jamaal.

Charles is showing a lot of promise, but you can't dismiss 1400 yards last year by Jones. Like I have said before he is a freak of nature. I think the 2 will be a very nice combo. Should work great.

| Charles is their back of the future and finished with 1100 yards despite having 29 carries 9 weeks through the season. You keep the momentum going with him. Hell, Jones was replaced on his team during the playoffs. Jones should without a doubt be the clear backup for that time or else they are making a big mistake IMO | |
