1. Cards (leading but about to get swept by the 'stros) 2. Cubbies (1.5 games back) 3. 'stros (2 games back) 4. Brew Crew (2.5 games back) 5. Reds (5.5 games back) 6. Buc-Os (8 games back)
I think this is about as wide open as they come. You gotta give the 'stros the when it comes to the bats. Berkman, Tejada, Lee, Bourn, Pudge, and Pence is pretty stacked. The Crads have the deepest starting 5. I'm not sure how the Cubs O went fro so good last year to so shitty this year. The Brewers are the odd man out in this race IMO.
yeah it is a close divison but I take the cards get it.

Astros always do good after the all-star break and sweeping the cards really kicks things off for em... this will be a race to watch til the end of the season my money is on the Cards,Brewers and Astros being there til the end the Cubs are falling apart so..

when the brewers end up getting cliff lee the division will be thiers.
Oswalt & Carpenter are dueling right now. Match ups don't get much better than this
I will say this though if the 'stros can pull out the division they may be a force come playoff time. Roy O & Wandy is a hell of a 1-2 punch with a very solid bullpen.

Its sad the Reds are still only 5.5 back given the way they've played for about two months now. They should be ready to make a run in the next couple years with all the young talent they have though
Miggy hits a walk off in the 9th. 'stros just 1 out of 1st.

Doubt it will be the Cards? are you a fan of one of the other teams in the division or something? They have two aces, best two pitchers on one team in that division if u ask me, the best player/hitter in the game, a great lineup which just got better, the best closer in the division, best manager in the division, And they are currently in 1st, I bet it will be the Cards, I'd put money on it, but av bet for however long would be fine with me.

Actually I hate every team in that division except the Stros and I don't really like them. I just don't think it will be them. Obviously they have the best hitter in the game and yes their lineup has improved, but I don't see it happening....that's why I gave my opinion

The Card's success is based on the performance of just a few individuals. Albert gets injured and it's over.
The Cubs have the deepest and most talented team in the division and are starting to come on.
And it's a joke saying the Cards staff is better than the Cubs.

Agreed, they really are one injury away from being in the gutter. If they had the health problems the Mets have they would be damn near mathematically eliminated.

Oh ya, the NL central is trash. There are teams six games back in the west who would be leading this division.

Well I'm a Mets fan so I can only say so much, but at least their division is strong.
Astros are now 4 games above .500 but still trail the Cards by 1.5 games and are tied with the Cubbies. Brew Crew now 3.5 back and 2 behind the 2nd place teams.

Never said they're staff was the best, said they have the best 2 pitchers on one team in the division, and they do IMO Carpenter and Wainwright

Depends on when you ask that question. This year the cubs normally awesome starting rotation is struggling and has injuries and the same has been true with both of the guys you mentioned at various times.
