| Not sure if we had ever done something like this, but if you could match up ANY fighter in their PRIME in history against other fighters...how would your card look?
Past or present fighters in their prime...what fights would you like to see?
Try to keep it at like a 7-8 fight card maximum so its not so much scrolling to read everything.

| To start mine off, I would like to have: (keep in mind this is people in their PRIME) Anderson Silva vs. Shogun
GSP vs. Matt Hughes
...will add more later after some thought and seeing other's posts to generate ideas.

Kid vs Aldo I held off on Gomi vs Penn. I still to this day don't know what changed Gomi. I would have thought he would beat BJ at the time. He is just mediocre now. I think Florian is gonna beat him and I would have thought I had a stroke if you would tell me I would end up saying that.

| I thought so too. Rickson known as the greatest of the Gracie family(and as far as I know unbeaten with over 400 supposed fights, but thats probably alot of speculation as I've never seen it documented or anything) against the greatest of his generation in Maia.
Might have to give that one five rounds.

| A lot of these fights on these cards you could argue happened when these guys were in or close enough to their primes to be valid. Especially with Hughes-GSP, Liddell-Belfort, don't you think?
Prime only
Main event ; Fedor vs Brock Co main event ; Wanderlei vs Randy Main undercard - Tito vs Rampage Little Nog vs Liddell Frank Shamrock vs Sakuraba Matt Hughes vs 2001ish number 1 ranked WW Anderson Silva
Preliminary card ; Forrest Griffin vs Rashad Evans II Nick Diaz vs BJ Penn Igor Vovchanchyn vs Pedro Rizzo Urijah vs Miguel Torres Mirko Crocop vs Tim Sylvia

| Watching Tim Sylvia get KO'd hopefully with the highest highkick in MMA history would be more satisfying than AA, for me. Either or though.
Hughes was coming off a win over BJ Penn when GSP beat him the first time, and GSP beat him again. I don't think a younger Matt Hughes would have fared any different. When Hughes defeated GSP, GSP was already a top five talent imo. People point out the Alves loss as a sign he is wasted or shot. I don't remember Hughes ever facing anyone like Alves at all in his entire career, and I am not sure he doesn't lose that fight in 2004. Alves could have been Hughes' Liddell. Just my opinion.
They've fought enough. They've beat eachother. I've seen that fight enough imo.

Looking at it like that I agree fo sho. If I could pick out of the two to fill in for Big Ben I would choose AA with ease.
