UFC signs prospect Charlie Brenneman

Welterweight prospect Charlie Brenneman (10-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) has joined his AMA Fight Club teammates Dan and Jim Miller on the UFC's official roster.

Brenneman's trainer and manager, Mike Constantino, today announced the new deal, though he declined to comment on the specifics of the contract.

"Charlie is one of the hardest working fighters here at AMA Fight Club and has a ton of raw talent and athleticism," Constantino stated in the release. "He continues to improve each and every day, and I am looking forward to introducing his skills to the world."

Known as "The Spaniard," Brenneman is a one-time ShoXC and four-time Ring of Combat veteran. The Pennsylvania native was the winner of the first season of Spike TV's "Pros vs. Joes," and he has dropped just one bout in his first 11 professional contests – a closer-than-the-score-indicates unanimous decision defeat to current UFC fighter John Howard.

Thought that was very interesting, what are the odds? Dude seems to have an impressive resume though.

I knew the "Joes" were all former athletes but I never thought I would see one in the UFC.

I guess the first ever Pros vs Joes winner also won his first fight in the UFC.

He beat Jason High and now fighting Hendricks.

Who would have thought the winner from the 1st season of Pros vs Joes would be doing well in the UFC?(2-1)
