Who knows if he'll start MMA like his brother, Jake, but the dude is a damn good wrestler and one would imagine he'd get into MMA in a few years.

Quote :
Third-place finisher at the NCAA Championships earned All-America status for the second consecutive year ... Won his first two bouts at the national tournament before getting bumped into the wrestleback, where he rattled off wins over East Stroudsburg’s Chris Birchler, No. 7 John Wise of Illinois, No. 4 Jermail Porter of Kent State and No. 7 Dan Erekson of Iowa to place third ... Went 35-5 on the year with a 20-2 mark in dual competition and a 12-5 slate against ranked opponents ... Sat in the No. 1 spot in the national rankings for the bulk of the regular season ... Won his first 24 bouts before suffering his first setback, not including his 8-4 win over No. 3 Kyle Massey of Wisconsin at the NWCA All-Star Classic ... His 35 victories and 13 pins led the team and his 17 bonus-point victories ranked second on the squad ... His pin total was the highest for a Cowboy since Steve Mocco claimed 16 wins by fall in 2006-07 ... Won the heavyweight bracket at the Central Missouri Open, where he pinned each of his first four opponents before claiming a 4-1 win over No. 4 Mark Ellis of Missouri ... Took home the heavyweight title at the Reno Tournament of Champions after beating No. 7 Mitch Monteiro of Cal State Bakersfield and No. 15 Konrad Dudziak of Duke, among others ... Recognized as Big 12 Wrestler of the Week after his performance in Reno ... Earned Outstanding Wrestler honors at the Virginia Duals after picking up three bonus-point wins at the event and not allowing any of his four opponents to score against him.

WRESTLER OF THE WEEK
Jared Rosholt, Oklahoma State, 285, Sr., Sandpoint, ID/Ponca City
Top-ranked Rosholt added another impressive win to his resumé this year by claiming a 3-2 win over reigning NCAA champion Mark Ellis as part of the Cowboys’ 24-9 win at Missouri. The win improved Rosholt’s career mark over Ellis to 6-2 and marked Rosholt’s 24th consecutive win this season. Earlier in the week, Rosholt was a 10-2 major decision winner over Northern Iowa’s Christian Brantley. After a scoreless first period, Rosholt scored a takedown and escape in the second period before adding three more takedowns in the third period to add bonus points for his team.

The younger sibling of ex-UFC middleweight Jake Rosholt makes his professional debut next Saturday, Feb. 26, against fellow headliner Dee Burchfield at "Cage Fight Champions presents: Art of War Cage Fights."

The event takes place at Hutchins Memorial Auditorium in Ponca City, Okla., a short drive from the brothers' alma mater, Oklahoma State University.

A runner-up in the 2010 NCAA Championships, Jared Rosholt was signed this past July by Team Takedown boss Ted Ehrhardt, who helped his older brother make the transition from standout amateur wrestler to professional fighter.
"He's a pretty good-sized heavyweight," Ehrhardt told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com). "He's around 265 (pounds) when he's walking. He'll end up probably around 280, 285 pounds, and he's real fast. He runs like a 4.7 (40-yeard-dash). I don't know, but I've heard he's bench-pressing around 700 pounds. He's big, he's strong, and he's fast."

http://mmajunkie.com/news/28331/jared-rosholt-signs-with-legacy-fc-fights-derrick-lewis-for-title-on-aug-17.mma
Undefeated heavyweight prospect Jared Rosholt (4-0) has signed a multi-fight deal with Legacy Fighting Championships, promoter Mick Maynard today confirmed with MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com).

He'll now meet Derrick Lewis (7-2) for the organization's vacant heavyweight title on Aug. 17.

The event, Legacy Fighting Championship 13, takes place in Dallas and airs on HDNet.

Jared Rosholt – the younger brother of UFC and Bellator vet Jake Rosholt – was a 2010 NCAA Division I national runner-up wrestler who picked up more wins than any other heavyweight in Oklahoma State University. The three-time All-American wrestler and current Team Takedown fighter made his pro MMA debut a year later and has posted a 4-0 record on the regional circuit. Two of the wins have come via submissions, and two have come via strikes.

Lewis, meanwhile, represents Rosholt's most experienced and accomplished opponent to date. "The Black Beast," who once competed for Bellator, has won his past three fights (with one no-contest). All of the Texan's recent wins have come via knockout. In fact, in seven career victories, six have come via knockout and one via submission.

Additional fights will soon be announced for the Legacy Fighting Championship 13 card.

Holy shit that was a crazy ending. I'm sure the video will be up soon. It came after a horrible standup by the ref but still, killer combo to end the fight.
