I see this as a bad move. Even if GSP were to move up to 185, he would still lose to Kos, Fitch, and Alves. His best hope is to wait it out and hope Penn moves back to 170.

He should stay at LW, getting beat down by the best LW ever isn't that bad considering, at least IMO, he could beat a lot of the other top 10 LW's in a given fight. Like to see him face another top LW, like Gray, Sherk, Griffin just to see where he's at.

Would u still consider him a top 10 WW?

I agree with Ninja, he should stay at LW where he can be more competitive in the division. He probably can't crack the top 5 at WW but at LW he could possibly be 2nd best.

I dont like him going up to WW either.

Its hard saying if he'd still be a top 10 WW. Thats the deepest division in MMA IMO.

I don't know, he could beat a Kampmann, Daley, Condit, Swick, Hardy, Paulo Thiago, which are all in the top 10 or close.

I think Kampmann, Swick, Daley and Hardy are all close fights.

Thiago could be a close one too because his bjj.

Bad idea... Take another 2 or 3 fights working your way back up and hope that BJ follows through with one of his threats to either retire or go back to WW. Diego could get that title under those circumstances some day. At WW he never see's the title, unless he goes the Serra route and loses it as quickly as he grabs it...

This LW adventure is just going to derail his ultimate potential, I always sort of felt like that.

+1 abso-fucking-lutely. He is not nearly as good as he thinks he is and if he ever fights Kenny, he might get smacked around again. I think he could be beat by any of the top 10 lightweights but I am fairly sure he could beat them too.
