White on Pac vs Floyd

I've said that before. That 0 at the end of his record means more to him than any amount of money. What he doesn't realize is that true boxing fans will remember him as someone who ducked all the prime elite WW's.

It's a 0 that shouldn't be there to begin with but its the reason he hasn't fought a legit threat in years

Hatton was a legit fight that everyone wanted. Just because he has sucked since then doesn't take that win away. JMM was the number 2 p4p fighter who had two close battles with Pacman, also legit even with the size difference. I don't buy this Floyd is a chicken idea, especially since he is actually fighting Shane Mosely now.

Anyway, this thing had shades of Lesnar-Fedor all over it and you could tell White chose his words carefully when he really wanted to say "this is why boxing is gay, because they dont make the fights everyone wants to see. UFC will be bigger than soccer. Fedor sucks" but, of course he can't since he let MMA's biggest fight fall through his fingers too.

Its the 30th actually, and Floyd and Pac are screwing over boxing fans by fighting on the same day. So conveniently for Floyd Shane won't be ready by then.

Good. Maybe that will give Shane a chance to call him out again. If Mosely looks impressive against Berto a lot of people will be asking for this fight. Its the most logical choice, Shane and Floyd could do 1.25 million buys easily, and it gives Floyd an elite WW on his record. I really wish the fight would happen, theirs a good argument Mosley is a tougher opponent than pac as well.

IDK it depends on the opponent. If it was Paulie of Campbell your right, but if it was Cintron or Bradley i think they would do similar numbers. Floyd can sell a fight like no other. Did 1 million PPV buys against JMM for christ sake and almost everyone knew it was a horrible mis match.

Yeah but they could build that up by saying that JMM was a top 3 P4P guy and someone who doesn't watch boxing regularly probably thought they were in for a competitive fight. Pac-Clottey would definitely outsell Floyd-PM,NC,KC, etc IMO. People would rather pay money to watch the best offensive fighter in the game than Floyd throwing 25 punches/round against a jr welter

I still think it would be close. Floyd has a lot of nuthuggers who would buy his fight if he fought Ivan Calderon, and other people would buy it just to see him possibly lose. Pac would probably outsell him just not by much IMO.

I agree that it would be close but even if the margin was small Floyd wouldn't be able to handle being outsold by Pac because he thinks he's such a huge draw
