| Stuff like this is why it's such a poor country. There's no way any real infrastructure could be built there because there is always a threat of a natural disaster that will wipe the whole country out. | |

| There is also the whole fact that poor uneducated ex-slaves and voodoo niggaz make up the entire country. Even if they had plenty of natural resources and safety they'd still be living in a modern caveman state. | |

| In all seriousness though, this country can't catch a break and it could take decades to rebuild. I guess a plus side to being third world is that it's not hard to make it back there...silver lining, I guess. | |

| 100 million is a lot, but at the same time it's nothing. And it doesn't heal a broken culture. The money will go to corrupt officials and the people will suffer.
David Loiseau has family he hasn't heard from since the quake down there.

David Loiseau has family he hasn't heard from since the quake down there. Dave is asking UFC to give him a fight asap. He wants to donate all his earnings from UFC and sponsers to Haiti. UFC and his sponsers should match anything he gives.

| 100 mil means dick when they don't build their structures to resist anything beyond a 4.5 quake or 100 MPH winds. I might piss and moan when having to deal with our codes at times here, but they do serve a purpose. Hopefully, a lot more will be done than just sending a check... | |

| It's heartbreaking stuff. I couldn't even imagine having to walk to streets lifting up each cloth over each body looking to see if it's your loved one. Then if it is picking the body up and having to bury them right than with your own bare hands. I'm praying for them I hope aid comes soon. | |

| Ya, they don't even have enough schools, sewers or running water but they're expected to build strong buildings?
Uneducated masses of ignorant poor people always suffer the worst when this stuff happens.

| Why should we tim?
What is the net benefit for the human race of retarding growth and success to we can all be part of the same mediocre pack? What is the benefit for the entire species if we reward failure and stupidity with kindness?
Imagine if other animals were so obsessed with propping up the weak members of their species. How well would zebras fare if the biggest and strongest slowed down to help the weak and sickly members fight off lions I wonder?
This is why I like sports, because the strong survive and weakness isn't tolerated. The best rise above. I am honestly surprised sports is popular in America at all with the nations value system as it is.

| http://marquee.blogs.cnn.com/2010/01/25/hollywood-and-haiti-whos-giving-what/#more-10319?hpt=SbinCheck this out. It a list of what the famous people have givin to haiti. It says the list isn't done yet so more will be added. It just makes me sick how any rich person can tell us we should what ever we can but the celebs will only give what is pocket change to them. You know if all of hollywood really wanted to help each celeb could sell one mansion and about ten cars put all that money together and they could acctually help. But they don't want to help they want the tax credit for donating money to charity. | |
