Typical that you attack someone with the opposite opinion of you. Its no wonder you and Wolfy butt heads so much. You're reading into the statements of "it wouldnt have mattered" too much. I think what me and Farmer are trying to say is Bama STILL would have WON even WITH MCCOY. It definately would have been more competitive, but I still dont think Texas would have won the game.

It definately would have been more competitive, but I still dont think Texas would have won the game. Look, before the game I said Bama by 10. But after the way they started the game I would have loved to see how it would have played out if Colt hadn't been injured. Because I'm not so sure they rebound to win it. It is what it is, but it's ignorant to suggest it wouldn't have made a difference. So, what you're saying is that Colt also throws interceptions on shovel passes, throws behind open receivers and struggles to complete 33% of his passes? Please tell me you at least have enough football IQ to know that a "COMPLETELY" different game is called by the coaching staff with a freshman QB than with a Heismann candidate senior at the helm (I mean shit, Garrett Gilbert is at best the Curtis Painter to Colt McCoy's Peyton Manning). The second that Colt went down the original script was tossed right into the can. Again, I'm not saying that Texas wins, but this game goes much differently. BTW- I'm not attacking anyone Regret... I'm just saying that those of you who say it wouldn't have mattered aren't very smart. No one knows how this game goes if Colt isn't injured. Say they go up 14-0 rather than 6-0, do you think Saban calls the same game to get back in it? Not in a million years... Every situation changes the way coaches approach their game plan. As Mack Brown had to change his game plan, Saban would have adjusted his being down by 2 scores. Credit to Bama for taking care of business and knocking Colt out of the game... But I would have loved to see how this game goes with all stars healthy and playing the entire game. Peace kiddo... I wasn't going personal unless you think Paris has a higher football IQ than you...

| I think the game would have been alot closer with Colt hell I actually picked Texas to win but i think the arguement that just because this kid Gillbert had gotten Texas within a field goal that Colt would have been able to beat them is just nuts. Fact is at half time bama came out in the 2nd half and never tried to finish Texas. They got so conservative and mild on offense it gave Texas every opportunity to get back in it. The first TD pass to Shipley happened because Bama was playing 8 or 9 in the box cause they didnt believe this kid could beat them deep. They were wrong lol. But as soon as it got close Bamas defense tightened up and won it for the Tide. | |
