| I kinda like hardy but I'm going to enjoy it immensely when GSP pummels him. | |

| Kinda looks gay. I like Carwin, but Mir is ma boy and hopefully he's smart enough to not stand for too long and find a way to sub Carwin. And, GSP better put on a more entertaining fight than he did against Fitch. No doubt he'll win, though. | |

| GSP dominates and embarrases hardy
and Mir and Carwin will either go to a decision or Mir will submit him.

Mir will outstrike Carwin. Carwin has more power than anyone, but he isn't that great. He throws heavy straight shots. He doesn't have great footwork and get angles. Just straight power shots.

| Foot work this, angles that, whatever dude, this is a giaganto HW fight. I am sure Arlovski and CC have better footwork than Rogers, Sylvia, Randleman and Gonzaga.
Mir has shown good striking for only a short time, and I really doubt he has added enough striking skill to avoid everything Carwin tosses his way. Brock has more power than anyone too, he isn't that great either, but he is also champion who has mauled Frank Mir twice, even in a loss.
The most likely result is a TKO win for Carwin, but it could easily be a TKO or submission win for Mir. Mir is stoppable as we all know and Carwin seems to have an iron chin advantage there, but Mir 2.0 knocked Kongos head off. I could see Mir KOing him, but not as easily as the other way around. Gonzaga has a similar ground game to Mir, high level blackbelt, and better striking that Carwin, but Carwin hopped right to his feet and caused him early onset dementia.
Mir is hittable, stoppable and has weak wrestling traditionally, and against an atomic handed, iron chinned, musclebound wrestler with GnP that appears on another level even than Brocks, I just can't make him the favorite, even if he has more experience in two of the three main phases and has the much better career.
Carwin 60/40 favorite.

| unless carwin can end it in one shot mir will go strait to the ground when he gets wobbled. Mir is excited about his improved stand up but he better save it for his next fight if he is smart. Yeah he could be a bit quicker but carwin took some bombs from GG and kept coming and GG isnt a bum. | |

| This the third time he'll be going for either a vacant, or interim, title. It kinda sucks that he's never taken the championship from a proven belt holder. And, now he's fighting for a vacant or interim title again, ah chiiit! | |

| a lot of people might be surprised at what carwin can do when he gets fully tested. people see him as a less explosive and athletic version of brock, but i dont believe this is the case. i dont have proof other than what his trainers said, because he has never been really tested and none of his fights last beyond the first round. we have seen all of mir's assets, and i could understand why people think he might win but i'm not overlooking carwin, in fact i might pick him when the time comes. | |

That's probably the best thing he's got going for himself in this matchup.

| Fairly well said Darkwing, he isn't quite at Brock level of explosiveness, but is very explosive | |

| So here is a fun fact, Carwin has never been in a fight longer than 2min 11seconds in his very first fight. His average fight lasts 1min 7.45seconds. WOW! | |

| Didn't they say Mir's average fight is 3 or 4 minutes the other day before he beat Kongo?
No way this makes it to round 2.

| Mir's going to sub Carwin. He's packed on weight in the form of muscle. One little mistake on the ground against Frank and you're done. He's motivated and wants the belt. Obviously he wants another crack at Brock as well. I think he'll beat Brock in the threematch. | |
