Bellator Season X

Season X kicks off tomorrow night with the big boys.  Gotta say, I really like this HW tourney, good pairings and good fighters, I think this is far and away the best HW tourney they have made.  Looking forward to it.




Martinez vs Johnson is going to be a war. I think that is the fight I want to see most out of the 4 quarter final matches.

Also very interested to see Blagoi tested. Would be a great story to see him rise from his death bed to fulfill the potential he has displayed early in his career.

Mighty Mo vs Graham could be interesting, I hope it is not a long fight or it could get ugly.

I think Volkov should get by Holata without too much trouble.

It's too bad Queiroz isn't in this, but he might still be injured.

Right now I think the finals will be Volkov vs Ivanov, if Ivanov still has what he showed before his attack. Ryan Martinez is my dark horse, his fight with Minakov last season was pretty crazy.

The season starts March 7th not tomorrow.

It will actually start earlier than March 7th, they're announcing the events out of order for some reason. This card is 111 and their last show was 109 so Feb. 28th is probably the season premiere

Haven't seen anything for a February show. That will be a month to promote it. Doesn't make much sense

They're promoting this event as Bellator 111 though, there has to be a 110 somewhere

Well this disappointing me, I was ready for some fights tonight.

Bellator 110 is being a big secret because it's a fight for the troops overseas in a dangerous area. So they don't have to promote to sell tickets.

I agree with him. There are 2 tournament winners that should get the title shot. When Pitbull lost he had to win the tourney again for a title shot. Even though he hasn't gotten it yet.

Was that before they had the title rematch stipulation? The problem is the Curran-Straus fight was neither very thrilling or close. Straus won cleanly

Why did they switch to tournament winning title holders getting instant rematches if they lose their titles again?  Because fickle mma fans were having bitch fits two years ago at the notion of a former champion having to go through the tourney again instead of getting a instant rematch.  Fast forward to the present....  

I'm looking forward to seeing how things play out in the third fight.

Curran warrants it, he's one two of these tournaments and 3 title fights, he's one of the best fighters in the world. He's also knocked out Straus before, and can do it again. A rubber match here is fine.

As long as the main event isn't Tito vs Rampage, I guess it's OK.

He was thoroughly beaten and Pitbull knocked out everyone in the tourney. Quite obvious Bellator just wants to set up a rematch between Curran-Pitbull, its the only reason to make this fight

Bellator finally announcing the 110 event on Monday. Seems to be assumed it will involve Rampage in some capacity

Rampage vs. M'Pumbu and Lawal vs. Zayats at Bellator 110. 4 man tourny.

Bellator should sign Anthony Johnson.

No way in hell Rampage wins that tourney. He's awful

Is Tito ever going to fight for Bellator?

Rampage could power through M'Pumbu, I don't think he has to much issue in that fight, but I think Mo will beat him if they match up. I think Mo makes quick and/or easy work of Zayats.
