| I'm not a basketball fan and never will be but the Heat have a home game whilst I'm in the States next month and I'm wondering whether it's worth going or not.
It all hinges on James really. Is this guy the sort of legendary athlete one should never pass up an opportunity to see in the flesh or is he not really a patch on the Michael Jordans and Magic Johnsons of this world who benefits from the hype of 24 hour media saturation?

| He is the best player today by far but he will never be in Michael Jordan's league. You should go though. |

He is great, but he isn't a must see before you die type athlete. I'd rather go watch Peyton Manning or someone like that. There aren't as many players out there now but in the past you had guys like Nolan Ryan and Ken Griffey Jr in baseball. Peyton Manning, Barry Sanders, Adrian Peterson, Jerry Rice in football. Really the only "must see" player basketball has had since MJ is probably Shaq in his prime.

Adrian Peterson has a chance to be the best to ever play his position. LeBron does not. It's not "AP" it's "AD" as in All Day. His nickname he had long before he ever turned pro.

| Actually Lebron will be the best to ever play the SF position. Also I'd rather watch Lebron play than AP run. I'm sure many others agree. |

I'd rather watch Peterson go for 200 yards and 3 TDs then watch LeBron go 50-15-12.

| Peterson is good but put a few injured linemen and a good run defense into the situation and you might not get what you paid to see.
As much as I hate Lebron he does something pretty special every night.
That said he still shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as Michael Jordan.
