Gay Son or Daughter in Porn?

This question was asked to players in NBA locker rooms. 77% said they would rather have a daughter in porn then a gay son. What about you?

Locker room mentality right there. I think if you asked the public the numbers would be flipped.

well I guess it depends on what type of porn... are we talking soft-core or 30 guy gang-bangs?


I'd say i'd rather have a gay son. I feel like whether or not your child is gay isn't really a reflection on how they were raised by you.

But if your daughter ends up being a stripper or worse, a porn slut, then you have pretty much failed as a parent.

For me it's not even a debate. A gay son can still be a successful person. Daughter in porn? Would be much harder to deal with.

Gay son would be fine.  I wouldn't want someone I care about to have much involvement in working for the pornography industry.

Yeah I agree. But still the responses I have got from people are pretty interesting. I think I heard it on Dan Lebarard radio show yesterday. He was on there with John Amichi(spelling)? Who is a former NBA player that has admitted he is gay since retiring. They were talking about Jason Collins not being on a roster and Dan brought up this stat about NBA locker room.

if i had a daughter who was making porn i might even seek counsel from some pakistanis for some advice on honour killing.

If my kid is in porn
I failed as a parent
If my kid is a happy gay person
I did a good job as a parent

he doesn't really and even if he does he doesn't know why, but his religious text tells him to so that's it.

christianity is the same, so i'm not having a go at any specific religions.

I don't hate them. If I saw a gay person in trouble I'd still help them and if I worked with one I'd talk to them but I wouldn't have one as a friend.

I don't know what someone's sexual preference has to do with the quality of their friendship? I don't understand that. I understand your views on sexuality conflict with theirs but that is only a small part of life and everyone is free to make their own choices. I don't know why you wouldn't associate with a quality person just because you have different sexual preferences.
Would you also not be friends with someone that doesn't share your own religion? Could you be friends with a Jewish person? An atheist?

I have Jewish and Atheist friends.

Then why couldn't you have a gay friend? Are you worried they are going to hit on you? Do you think they are less quality human beings because of their sexual preference? I just don't understand how it effects their ability to be a quality friend. So I'm curious to why you would write them off.

You mean you don't want to seem like a piece of shit person or come out and admit you hate gay people or somehow think they are evil at heart. That or you are so homophobic you think they are going to rape you or hit on you everyday.
You have no valid reason why you think gay people are too inferior too associate with. So really you can't debate it, not without coming out and saying you hate gay people.

I don't know if that thought is a necessity. Could one just feel uncomfortable with a gay person without believing them to be inferior. Not saying it's right either way, but there could be other reasonings for his bias.
