Bang is easily top 40 in the division, be real. I know he has five losses in ten fights, but two are to top-tenish welterweights in Nick Thompson and Paul Daley so they shouldn't even count as much, the other two losses are to Tyson Griffin(nearly four years ago btw) and Takanori fucking Gomi. That isn't that horrible yo. I know he lost his last fight to the mostly unknown Fancypants, but that guy was serrrious prospect before that fight anyway. (Also I never got to bitch anywhere that Strikeforce didn't air that fight that night when it was one of the better matchups on the card. War fancypants. )

I am not saying this dude is on the muscle sharks level, but I don't think Jim Miller is on another level than the Ludwig van Wolf-bangsta.

Honestly this is a pretty damn good fight still, all things considered.

I don't think Miller is on another level than "Ludwig van Wolf-bangsta" either. I'm also not saying Ludwig is a total can, however he has not looked impressive lately and regarding his rankings, I didn't pull 'not top 40' out of my ass. Three websites that have lengthy divisional ranking lists all exclude him from their Top 40. Bloody Elbow goes to 40 and he's not there, Fight Magazine has Ludwig at 74, and Fight Matrix has him at 71.

I am being real. Neither myself nor the majority of MMA fans/analysts from what I see feel Ludwig is a top 40 LW (and some apparently think he's not even close).

Wow I can't believe he is so low in the rankings. I seem to remember him around the top ten on some lists before the Gomi fight. LW is a deep, deep weight class if a guy like him is ranked that low, 71? fuck me.

I seen Ludwig ranked as high as #3-4 before the Gomi fight when I was digging through old rankings a few weeks ago. Most rankings are based way too heavily (if not entirely) on a fighter's last couple fights. I wasn't trying to disrespect the guy, but the "easier fight IMO" comment to me came off as ignorant disrespect for Sherk (who I don't even like). Rankings-wise (yes, I know it's all subjective and not all divisions have the same depth), going from Sherk to Ludwig is the equivalent of going from Werdum to Kimbo or Little Nog to Josh Haynes.

3-4 to 70 in a year? Not been a career year.
