| it is know becoming very clear that Al Nusra is connected to Al Qaeda (After the leader of Al Qaeda in Iraq attempted to merge the two groups), however now it has become clear that Hezbollah is also operating in the country, working with Pro Assad forces.
Last week in the extremely important battle of Qusayir (key link from Syria to Lebanon) at least 5,000 Hezbollah fighters were thought to have participated in the important victory for Al Assad forces.
Because of this fighting, Syrian Rebels are also beginning to voice their displeasure with Hamas since Hamas has started arresting salafists. President of Egypt Muhommad Morsi suspended all diplomatic relations with Syria while at the same time Sunni Egptian clerics are calling on a Syrian jihad, Egypt is said to be flying all jihad aged men to Syrian border states for free. This coinciding with the news today that Saudi Arabia is expelling all Hezbollah linked citizens over their support of Bashar al Assad.
It is important to remember that Russia is backing Assad because Syria is the only lasting trade partner for Russia in the Middle East. If the west can bring about the collapse of Assads pro western regime, we will have struck a huge geopolitical blow to Russia. Hezbollah members from Lebanon are fighting against the Syrian opposition largely for fear that their Christian sects will be targeted by islamists. Iran and Syria are tied at the hip via their Shiite faith.
the real kicker is that with america now set to help arm the Free Syrian Army, it is impossible to deny that america is giving support to the same entity that Al Qaeda is supporting , the Free Syrian Army.

| its also interesting because now Al Qaeda in Iraq and Al Nusra are suffering from infighting
Al Qaeda in Iraq members (al Jalalani = Al Nusras leader) left Iraq and went into Syria officially forming AL Nusra in January of 2012, by December 2012 we classified them as a terrorist organization.
Al Qaeda in Iraqs emir recently stated that Al Qaeda in Iraq and Al Nusra were a single entity operating under the same leadership. THis is big because american intel has long wondered what the real relationship was (an AQI offshoot into Syria or a coordinated entity) Al Julalani Al Nusras leader then issued a statement saying this was not true, and that Al Nusra was directly under Al Qaeda.
Leader of Al Qaeda Ayman Al Zawahiri jsut this week published his ruling stating AQI broke rules by announcing this merger without discussing with AQ leadership. He also said AL Jullalani broke protocol by stating his oath to AQ so openly. Zawahiri then ruled that both entities will remain seperate with Al Qaeda in Iraq being AQs Iraq affiliate and Al Nusra being AQs Syrian affiliate.
