amendola is always banged up, i'd much rather be facing him than welker twice a year.

the pats could've kept edleman for much less money and he'd have been comparable to amendola in the 9 games he suited up for.

Amendola is good and should be a solid replacement for Welker. He won't have the same production but he has to potential to be fairly close. I would say he could be about 80% of what Welker was for the Pats. It's a drop off but not a big one.

i agree he's a decent receiver when healthy and catching balls from brady will inflate his numbers IF he can stay on the field.

it's an odd move for me though because they could've resigned edleman who also looked pretty good when he was healthy and was good on special teams also. both are talented slot receivers with questionable durability imo so it just suprised me a bit they went out and got amendola.

Wow I just heard an interesting stat. Wes Welker kicked a 58 yard field goal in high school.

Stephen Jackson to Falcons. Cassell is now with Vikings. Leon Washington with Pats.

Geno Smith #1 overall? I think he is going to be a good pro but #1 overall?

Where did you see that? I thought Luke was a lock since KC cut Winston and franchised Albert instead of giving him a long term deal.

Tod McShay I think it was? Maybe it was Jaws? I dunno but ESPN Radio is acting like Geno is now a lock for the #1 spot.

Also I see you might get the GOAT safety in Houston.

A 35 year old version. He fills a different role than Quin but I feel even with his age, he'll be equally effective.

We lost Barwin to PHI but drafted OLB in the last 2 drafts so just losing depth there. I guess the Texans are relying 100% on the draft for any improvement.

@AdamSchefter: And the Jets are on the free-agent scoreboard with RB Mike Goodson.

Looks like Green will be on the bench.

Greene is now a Titan, so yeah he will be on the bench.
Ed Reed is still one of the best safeties in the league.

Sidenote: OU has already lost 2 starting OL, 1 for the entire season.

Miami lands Dustin Keller, nice pickup.

I heard a few days ago Jake Long was likely heading to Rams, but I haven't seen anything since.

Tannehill better have a great year with all these new weapons. Have they found a new RB to replace Bush?

It will be big if they can keep Long. I read some more this morning after I didn't hear anything and they are making a big push for him. Looks like he will either be back protecting your boy or he will head to STL to protect my boy.

I haven't seen any RB to Miami yet. They have Thomas and Hamburgerler on roster right now though.

it certainly looks like they are doing what they can to give tannehill the best opportunity to succeed.

the feeling is lamar miller is ready to start with daniel thomas as back up. bush did wll in his 2 years though and it's a shame he isn't coming back, i'm not sure playing in a dome will be the best thing for his durability either.

Reggie is reaching that age though were is athletic ability will start to decline. Plus you got lucky he stayed as healthy as he did considering what happened to him every year in NO.

he played through some knocks and showed good toughness for miami imo.

lush florida turf is much less grating on the joints than concrete covered with a rubber based turf though

I heard a stat yesterday that he averaged only 10 games a season in 4 seasons in NO but he played 31 of 32 games in Miami.

If by headcase you mean chronic migraines and a work ethic matched by few in the league, then yes. Dude carried the Vikings passing offense the last two years until he got hurt.

Yeah Peterson called him the best football player he had ever seen.

Banned from all sports while he was in high school, grabbed a coach around the neck at Florida, rolled up a J while at the NFL combine and an injury prone crybaby. I don't think he really fits with what Seattle does either

And he's had how many run in's with the law while in the NFL? How many times has he been benched for behavioral issues, or fined for them, or put under review by the league for on field or off field conduct? Since he entered the league he's grown up quite a bit, and if it weren't for the migraines(which are well documented) and the injuries he's suffered being the only legitimate wide receiver in Minnesota he'd have been a top 4 receiver this season. He was on pace for over 2,000 all purpose yards before the injury this year.

rolled a j at the combine? hahaha, nutter.

NFL front offices consider it a 'character concern' if a player had a joint once in junior high, and he still went in the 2nd round?

long has been declining the last couple of years and can be replaced.

we've got no corners though and even if sean smith drops every INT that comes his way perhaps we should've kept him for the money the chiefs paid?
