| Is that shit even admissable in court? I know polygraph wasnt the last time i checked. I don't know..a decent lawyer can tear apart drugging somebody and using a flawed truth test for evidence.
He can plead insanity and he won't get it. It was too carefully premediated with the apartment, stocking up on all the guns and ammo, the armor, the tear gas, the date, the event etc. The big thing with insanity is that they have to pretty much prove that he had no control of himself, but also that he may have been in a state where he didnt understand what he was doing was wrong. Thats going to be tough when everything was set for a particular time and day. A rampage caused by a state of insanity would have been more random, not planned out for a specific date with a costume, booby trapped apartment ad everything. Though he does have the fact that he didnt really attempt to get away from the scene going for him. They'll probably try to claim he didnt try to get away because he was in a certain state when he committed the rampage, but it won't work. We have had guys like Richard Chase plead insanity, a complete lunatic diagnosed with several major mental disorder who didnt cover his tracks at all and felt he needed to do what he did to survive, and is a guy you would think would be an easy call for not guilty via insanity and he didnt get it back then..probably because of the nature of his crimes. | |
