went from beating the likes of Hominisk, Pulver and Davis in impressive fashion, to just looking like he doesnt even want to be there?

was he never that good to begin with? personally I think his problem is the mental aspect of the game because he really used to look like a cant miss future great. Now Im scratching my head trying to remember what the hell I ever saw in the guy.

Did yall notice his interview after his loss? Ogle said your a bad man, Grispi replied, "I was."

Hes 24 and talking like hes 44. Hopefully he can get it together and make another run, but maybe Grispi peaked at 21-22 and thats all their is to it. When the division grew and the talent pool expanded, Grispi sank fast.

Anyone else shocked at how fast and bad he flamed out?

Honestly I think it's just that the division exploded around him and he was still a one trick pony in a Paul Sass kind of way almost. Being a great grappler with a mediocre standup and clinch game will only get you so far in a division that's fast becoming one that requires all around skills.

I think ya just hit the nail on the head

his clinch game has been a weakness that you couldnt see coming before his first UFC appearance IMO but one the division expanded and he was fighting tough guys every night, it became clear he wasnt who we thought he was.

So odd and fitting that his nickname is the Fluke

All those big wins were in the first 3 minutes of the fight too, its not like he ever proved he could fight a complete game and stick it to a quality opponent for 15 minutes
