That would be a great fight. Any combination of these fighters would be an exciting matchup.

Grant, Maynard, Thomson, Miller, Healy are all contenders. They just need to be narrowed down.

Healy's saving grace is that he has a granite chin.

I shouldn't even say exposed since he's had so many fights and fought in so many promotions, I just don't see him having a lot of success

I think he could beat Jamie Varner and Joe Lauzon. Miller would interesting. He matches up well stylistically with Anthony "Tony" Pettis.

Your right though, Grant, Maynard, Gilbert, and Bendo would have their way with him. Thomson already beat him.

Right now would be the perfect time for a 8man light weight tournament.

Gil vs Bendo in April, followed by Pettis vs the winner in the asap after that.

If Bellator can get most of their tourneys through in less then 3 months, UFC could manage this one I'd think. You could match the loser of Gil vs Bendo against the biggest name to lose in the first or second round of the tourney.

Even more so than Silva/Bones, I think Aldo-Pettis the most exciting fight that could be made in MMA right now. Looking forward to that hopefully taking place in the next couple years
