-1 Trout whooped Cotto. I've seen Trout a few other times and wasnt impressed with him. He was excellent tonight. The judges saw it like me. Ringside was making it seem like one round was the difference, but i think Cotto might have won 3-4 rounds in a row after the second but then Trout completely took over the last 5-6 rounds. I had it 8-4 or 9-3 for Trout.

| i thought it was a bit closer than the scorecards but i still had trout winning and there were a lot of close rounds so i wouldn't take issue with the 117-111 scorecards. the 119-109 card requires some explaining though.
i thought it was close through 8 rounds but trout was clearly on top over the last third or so.

| Did Cotto looked old or was it a case of Trout just being on his A game ? |

trout looked like a good all round fighter to me. i wouldn't say cotto looked old, it was a good fight for 8 rounds or so but trout was bigger, faster and came on strong late in the fight.

I would say Trout was on his A game. He did all the right things. Cotto couldnt back him into a corner and beat on him because Trout was able to get out or tangle him up at the right times. He was also the better boxer. Maybe Cotto was not on his A game but i don't think thats because he's old. I think he wasnt expecting Trout to be that good based on past performances against far lesser boxers.
