They need to. If they want to grow the sport, in terms of fan following, the best fighters on the planet need to be featured on these national broadcasts.

Hopefully we do get to see titles defended on FOX more often. I'd like to see what kind of numbers they could pull if they stuck GSP or Anderson on FOX.

Huge numbers. Major sports outlets like ESPN would probably get in on promoting an event like that.

The UFC has a number of options to increase viewers.

There are far too many PPV events. When you put on an event that doesn't even feature a champion, and still charge $50 for it, you can't expect much out of it. I like that they are doing live events on both FOX and FX, but they should lower the rate for some of the PPV buys. I would gladly pay $20 for a PPV event that doesn't feature title holders, but has a card with some big names. But, I don't think most people can afford to shell out $100+/month just to watch UFC events. It would also be nice to see the smaller promotions get TV deals with smaller networks, like Bellator and Spike. There are a lot of respectable organizations out there that people have no clue even exist because they can't get their product out there.

It's a long way down the line, but I think it would be cool to do a league pass type thing, like DirectTV does with MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL, etc. But, there would be a monthly and yearly rates option, and this league pass would feature events from all sorts of minor promotions that are considered stepping stones to promotions like the UFC.

Fights didn't turn out the most entertaining, but these were the 3 biggest fights hands down.
