2012 College Basketball Thread

Tough loss to Dook last night, but only losing by 5 with our best player out with a sprained wrist shows that we will contend for a chip this year. I just hope Deing gets back soon. I wanted him to shut Plumlee down so I hope we get put in the same region in the tournament.

That was more of a joke when I posted it. A&M lost to a not good OU team. We are in big trouble. I think Kennedy needs to be gone as soon as the year is up unless there is a major turnaround for conference play.

Yeah I just had to fuck with you since last year you posted A&M beating a shitty OU team. OU is heading in the right direction but they are still pretty bad. They might be able to make the 3rd tourney this year, can't even remember the name of it? Not the big dance, not the NIT but the other one. OU is still 1 year away from being in the NIT.

Well to be fair, it is still picking a winning team because they are winning. But in your defense, not having any college basketball team anywhere near you, why would you choose some average program to root for? Only natural to root for a team like Duke.

Looks like my Ags are turning things around. We opened with an easy win over Arkansas and the went to Rupp and beat UK. I know BBC loved that.

OU is better then I thought they would be. 12-3, 3-0 in the Big 12 with a big game vs Kansas St tomorrow. I expect them to lose, but still they are better then I thought they would be. Maybe the NIT isn't out of the question this year?

You don't even know man! So many UK fans are butthurt around here and it's funny cause they act like they could give a shit less about basketball all of a sudden. I was yelling "Johnny Football wasn't on that court!" to a UK fan at work. You could see the rage and depression that had been in his head the night before. Loved every bit of it!

Damn looks like OU is a legit threat to make the Big Dance! I'm shocked. This team is pretty good. Got destroyed by Gonzaga but they are legit contenders to win the whole thing this year. We can't hang with the big dogs but we should be competitive vs anyone ranked outside the top 15 or so.

3 game skid for us or as I like to call it "The Pitino psychological mindfuck" that happens every year. I still think we are a top 5 team.

OU got 1 vote! It's been years since OU got a vote in the AP rankings.

I think this is one of the best seasons in college BB in a long time. A lot of teams have a shot at winning it this season.

Best? There are no stars, no great teams, and a lot of average hoops being played. I think its more of a down season with parity. Maybe that's just my view because A&M and the SEC aren't very good outside of UF and maybe Ole Miss and UK every now and then.

Bracketolgoy had OU in as a 9 seed.....Championship.

Michigan should be no lower than a 2.

OU blew a 22 point lead in the 2nd half and lost to Texas in OT. It was the 1st bad loss of the season but it was a horrific loss. I felt sick watching the collapse.

Michigan lost a bad 1 last night also blowing a 15pt lead at penn state. After watching that now I know how those kids in the showers felt.....
