Nogueira +130

But in less than 24 hours, look at how much the line has ballooned due to early money on Werdum (via BestFightOdds):

Nog is a worth a bet at those odds. He matches up well vs Werdum.

How does Nog matchup well vs Werdum? Well he has better standup, Werdum doesn't have the power to hurt Nog. He should be able to avoid being submitted. How doesn't he matchup well vs Werdum?

I think at this point Werdum has the edge on Nog pretty much everywhere. I don't see him having a good chance outside of hurting him with a big shot which he has proven to be a little better at in recent fights. Nog has sharper hands, but Werdum is huge and his kicks and knees are pretty brutal. I think he'll be able to get it to the ground at some point too if he wants it

I think the standup gap has closed for sure but IMO Nog still has the better standup and more power. I thought Nog and Werdum were about the same size? They have the same reach, similar weight and I think Werdum is just 1 inch taller. Not sure how "huge" he is next to Nog.

Werdum is a cut 246 though, Nog is like an old man 243. I look at Fabricio as one of the bigger HWs out there in terms of muscle mass and just how physically imposing they look. Nog not so much. I'd have to imagine Fabricio has a fairly large strength edge

I think Werdum is stronger but I think in just grappling Nog has that grappling strength, I'm sure Werdum has it too, but I don't think it will be that big of a difference. I don't think Werdum will muscle Nog around.

Werdum has most advantages, but I don't see many of them being that significant though. I think Nog is tougher and the more powerful and dangerous puncher still.
