Eh, Market is doing quite well with Obama in control. Did quite well with Clinton in control. Totally flopped at end of Bush's 2nd term. The conventional wisdom of "a Republican is better for the market" has not proven correct over last 20+ years.

one thing OUs financial planner could be eluding to is the proposed hike in capital gains taxes obama is pushing. Alot of money would leave the market or atleast go to cash. Example Ous dude put 100k into apple last year its 253k now. If bill passes through he would pay 10 pts more than he currently would if he sold for the gain. Basically Huge institutional money would sell at 15% tax rate to avoid the higher rate being proposed

Houston is growing in the burbs, not city. It won't be long before FB and Mont are bigger than Harris. Obama won Houston by 2 votes which I believe is a much smaller margin than last time.
