Nate vs. Diaz for next shot at WW title. Don't give a fuck if Nate is strikeforce champ. He's only had 1 fight some his suspension, and I've never been impressed with woodley. Not hating on Nate either he's a beast.

Gil vs. UFC champ. Definitely leap frogs the entire division. I hope Nate doesn't become champ in the mean time.

Rockhold vs. bisping. Hate both, but I would love for bisping to expose rockhold.

Cormier vs. any of the top 3 hw. I think he could beat all of them.

Jacare vs. weidman. Both are worthy of a title shot but both will be overlooked.

Thompson vs. Nate Diaz. Maybe eventually.

Pretty crazy that out of all those names that Leben vs Lawler would be my first pick also. No way that fight would not entertain. When is Leben gonna be back anyway? Seems to me like he has been off for a year already.

Nate Marquardt vs Nick Diaz- Essentially a unification of the Strikeforce Weltwerweight championship. Diaz never lost the belt and Marquardt got an instant shot at it when Diaz vacated.

Gilbert Melendez vs Gray Maynard- After Melendez' last fight I feel like he should have one fight before a title shot to truly guage where he's at.

Luke Rockhold vs Anderson Silva or Chris Weidman- Since Anderson's camp doesn't feel Weidman deserves a shot, Weidman vs Rockhold would be a perfect #1 contender fight.

Gegard Mousasi vs the loser of Shogun/Gustafsson.

Tim Kennedy vs Brian Stann in the battle of american heroes.

Other than that, UFC sucked enough blood out of Strikeforce the past year that merging them now does not bring the "ohh what matchups to make" excitement.

Struve just picked up a huge win over a top prospect (by TKO no less), and Mir is crafty on the feet and on the ground. This fight would be fun to analyze - could Struve knock Mir out? Would Mir hold a big advantage on the ground? Mir's not in the title picture and was willing to take on a guy trying to break into the top tier of the division when he agreed to face Cormier. So why not Struve?

4. Travis Browne vs. Stipe Miocic - Browne's out for a while, but Miocic might like some time off as well to get back to the drawing board after his first loss. While the UFC generally likes to avoid matching up major prospects against each other, this is the type of bout they might make an exception for. Both are athletic, hit hard, and can handle themselves everywhere. It's a perfect co-main event for a Fuel or FX card in my eyes.

5. Mark Hunt vs. the winner of Roy Nelson vs. Shane Carwin - Why? Because it's Mark Hunt, and I want to see him clobber one of these two guys. Heck, let him fight both of them at the same time. The Super Samoan can do anything he damn well pleases.

I think nate vs gsp at this point would be a good match up IMO. Curious to see how George comes back

Why wouldnt they? GSP and Condit are going to fight.

If I remember right, Nate is actually one of the guys who routinely heads up to Canada to help GSP prepare for fights. Rashad, Florian, Marquardt, Jackson, Phil Nurse, etc etc etc are all essentially "GSP's guys" when he's getting ready for a fight.

I guess the story with GSP-Condit is that they were never actually "teammates"..they just have the same coach but Condit trains exclusively at Jackson's while GSP trains at Tristar and uses Jackson for fights. I think you just remove Jackson from both of their corners and that removes all complications..but i dont know what Winklejohn's relationship with GSP is, i'm assuming that is who will corner Condit. I thought i saw Condit training with GSP in the GSP-Penn II Primetime specials though.

I don't know if Rashad still goes up there to help GSP, that was as of GSP's last fight(against Shields) I think. And yeah, Condit maybe trained with GSP a few times but that doesn't make them team mates unless Condit follows the Anderson Silva guide to making friends.
