| Tate actually didnt do bad vs. Honda. Really, just the armbars. She landed some shots and briefly found herself in very good positions on the ground. She got Honda's back. Tate is better than Kaufman though IMO. There was a time when Kaufman was slightly better than Tate, but those days are over. Tate has more game.
Kaufman comes out looking better though, because her arm isnt mangled. Tate was not going to tap to Ronda.

| agree, I feel like the sport might be in the process of evolving past Kaufmans stand and bang-wrestle style.
I like WMMA because it reminds me of early MMA/NHB where mastering one discipline or style was all you needed, Rousey is dominating with a pretty one dimensional attack. Fun to see happen, Kaufman just really looked like shit tonight, no other way to put it. ROusey was coming for that arm the second the fight started and Kaufman looked like a deer spotting head lights.

| I didn't see that part but the crowd was letting Herb have it. Did anyone else see that pole hill billy referee with the long beard and running all over the place like a cartoon character. | |

| agree as well, Tate wasn't tapping until it was mangled, Kaufman tapped the instant Ronda got leverage and grinded the hips | |

| Yeah, we talked about it the last time Rousey fought. WMMA is definitely where men's MMA was in the mid to late 90's.
Ronda is pretty much Royce Gracie for WMMA right now.

I'm guessing they just need to find another olympic judokan of the same size. Didn't an American win bronze again this year? Watched somebody that was real aggressive in her attacks. Don't know her weight though.

Ronda is pretty much Royce Gracie for WMMA right now. Little different in that Royce brought a style that guys had zero familiarity with. These girls that are fighting Ronda are all trained in submissions, they are pretty fluent. But none are the athlete that Ronda is, and none have been competing in a combat sport since they were little kids. I got Ronda over Cyborg pretty easily.

Marti Malloy won bronze at 57 kg. Though that's a little light for Rousey.
