garcia stops khan in the 4th.

the pundits are talking as if khan is finished, but there's still loads of good fights to be made around that weight class.

Khan doesn't have the chin or power to compete at the elite level, he needs to completely change his style and adapt otherwise he'll continue to get stopped.

Roach is the wrong trainer for him, the focus is too much on offense with little thoughts about defense.

I won't put too much weight into this KO loss for 2 reasons.

1)Weird punch that landed on the neck/under the ear. I'm not going to say a weak chin was at work when a punch lands on the neck.

2)It was a good stoppage, but Khan was fighting back, and despite being knocked down twice in the 4th, was getting his feet back under him. if Bayless had let him go there, not saying he should have, but if he did, imo Khan makes it to the end of the rnd, and maybe the breather in between rnds allows him to right the ship.


Now I never thought Khan was a true elite guy. I think his hand speed is vastly overrated, is not a huge puncher and yes has a shaky chin. But I have no problem putting him in the mix below the elite guys.

i think khan beats garcia 8 or 9 times out of 10 to be honest. if he uses his brain and doesn't leave himself wide open to repeatedly get tagged with left hooks he boxes garcias ears off.

whether it was garcia snrs comments getting under his skin or paranoia about a repeat of the officiating from the peterson fight, he fought reckless as a result and got caught.

i agree with what's said. khan can fight, just has a suspect chin. guys like that have to box--not fight tuff, and in your face. if khan fought garcia again, garcia wouldn't be able to get to him

I don't know man even when Khan just boxes he still gets tagged, Amir just loves brawling too much.

Did Amir drain his ear to avoid Cauliflower ?
